Having trouble under standing rms with speakers. Some speakers rms is per speaker and other are for both speakers.I am looking for soundstream speakers that would be 150 rms per speaker. Thanks

rms is a method of measuring power (wattage) delivered from an amp to a speaker. In almost every case, wattage capacity of speakers is quoted PER SPEAKER. Likewise wattage output is quoted per amp output channel. Assuming a you plan on a single speaker on each output channel of your amp, you should be in good shape if your speaker wattage capacity equals or exceeds your amp's output rating. I've never seen speakers rated as wattage per pair.

(rms is the dominant way of measuring average watts of an ac sine wave signal)

How many watts per channel do Polaroid PBT3002 bluetooth speakers put out? How many ohms resistance? Can't seem to find this info anywhere.

This tends to be make and model specific! Speakers don't 'put out' power, amplifiers do. Speakers are rated at a certain power, which if you exceed that wattage, you damage the cones or coils.

Car amps 100watts per channel PEAK power, rather then RMS which is better. 8 Ohms.

Speakers should be capable of taking 20% more power than the amp can drive.

Need a good 500 watt cd player not sure what to buy

Before you go off on a wattage hunt you should learn what that means.

Search the web for subjects such as "amplifier wattage vs speaker wattage" for starts.

Don't buy into what manuafacturers CLAIM for wattage if it ADDS all the channels together and FAILS to specify a bandwidth and an acceptably low distortion figure. REPUTABLE makers specify watts per channel, all channels driven at no more than X distortion (typically well under .1%) and, at minimum, across the audio bandwidth or 20Hz - 20kHz.

Any garbage cheapo amp (meaning most shelf systems or all-in-one packages) can put out a lot of dirty power which will strain THEM and possibly kill your speakers. CLEAN POWER is what you want.

Dosome reading and search the web for whatever you are considering, and add the word 'scam' to the search. Get opinions from actual owners. There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there selling garbage to people on the streets.

My 4300hp will barely do 40 watts pep any help

is it always done this or just started? if always then theres a low wattage 2290 that could be installed @ factory and they will not do max wattage. exchange with newest production run to fix wattage. if it was doing 80watts and now down to 40watts have you checked swr's, antennna system, or power wires? if high swr's it will degrade transistors and loose wattage, and low ampres will not produce any power either...

I want a reliable system.

if you bought that equipment today then your answer is yes your amp will power the subs but if i was you and you want more bass I would go with a two channel amp or even a mono block amp that will be 1 ohm stable and if you decide to do that you might want to get subs that are dual 4 ohm voice coils and run them in series that will get you 1 ohm of resistance

Need to know how to wire Alpine 12" 1242D 4ohm Want to use 1 speaker in ported box with Phoenix gold 2200pro amp

As long as the total wattage of the amp does not exceed the total wattage of the speaker, you can bridge the amp. To do this, put the positive wire of the speaker on the positive terminal of channel 1 on the amp, and the speaker negative wire on the negative terminal of channel 2. This allows you to run the amp's full power into one speaker.
