Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Coby 32" Television, Volume is messed up.

About a year ago i got a COBY television, i didn't really use it right away, and by the time i did it was too late to return it. I discovered the volume control was messed up while watching my cable. The volume is completely silent until i hit 4, and then it's instantly kinda loud. I was just watching a video off my flash drive and the sound is extremely loud at 1. I tried looking for a firmware update, but COBY doesn't seem to have any that i can find, and none of the TV sound setting can change this. The model number is TFDVD3295, thanks for any help.

SOURCE: vizio 48 flat screen has sound, picture will not come on right away

What cable is being used? Often times there is a few things that could effect the picture and causing flicker. If you are using an HDMI cable, or the hdmi plug on the box or tv, you could have that problem. Because the picture is digital, you don't get the snow and lines we were used to. Because the cables are so stuff, often over time they can stress and pull on the plug and cable. Try a new cable, if that does not work, try another hdmi input on the tv. If that fails then try a new cable, like a component cable or RCA. If none of these work and you still have this issue with the box then most likely it is the tv or the box. Swap out a new source, and start this process all over again. If you get the same result then it is the tv. If it works with the same cables, then it is your box. Att will send you a new box if that is the case. If it is the tv, call Vizio. Warranty or not call them. If you are sure you are out of warranty, play dumb, be vague but nice. Often you can get someone out there still at no cost.

Coby 42 inch keeps maxing out volume

unfortunately the coby company has gone out of business probably because they have produced an inferior product that has had many problems, many people are posting problems with these sets. it is better you just purchase a different brand of tv and leave this heartache causing product behind.

I need the TV remote code for a coby tv

Here are the codes for your Coby TV: 500, 503, or 00.

I have provided instructions on how you can program the remote to your TV:

  • Remotes: Basic (Television Only)
    1. Turn the Television On.
    2. Press and hold the clear TV button for three seconds until the LED flashes.
    3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
    4. Press #. Note: The LED will flash three times.
    5. Test functionality with the TV.
    6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

There are a few screws that will need to come out. Usually they are located in the back lower center of the television. where the stand meets the TV
