How many quarts of trans fluid does a 2000 ford explorer v6 need

Did you check your trans dip stick? The tranny dip stick usually has a quart low mark. If this is a manual tranny, that is different, you didn't specify automatic or manual tranny?
{Automatic tranny, the spec is for dry fill, only. 10--12.7 quarts . Dry fill means not a drop of tranny fluid in the vehicle.}
You have to check proper fluid level, that is your responsibility. Your owners manual may have some of this info?

I have a 99 jeep it started acting crazy and checked the oil the dip stick said it was bone dry so I put 3 quarts in it and checked the oil again and this time it was about 3 quarts to much

my guess is you used the wrong dip stick,
i cant watch you mess up. so....no jeep stated a 99 what?
wrangler, Cherokee or grand Cherokee?
so i bet you have an automatic trans, right?
then pulled the dip stick on trans thinking its the engine
or the reverse. bad news if true.
rigth?
find someone that knows the difference or read the lost operators guide.

and error 2, the stick empty is not bone dry, not ever.
yes real low. so and 1/2 quart at a time , not 3 qt ever.
until the engine stick is at normal..

if this is a transmission, and you put engine oil in there
all hope is lost. and the method is hot running, to add ATF fluids.
unlike the engine method.
my best guess totally BLIND>

How many quarts of transmission fluid is required for a 1987 toyota pickup automatic transmission?

You need to look up the procedure for changing
& checking trans fluid

If you have a dip stick then you just warm it up
& keep adding until it is at the correct level on the stick

For a pan drop I would get at least 6 quarts

Ask that question using Google

Measure what you take out also

Eed to know how many quarts of fluid the auto trans takes for 1996 izuzu trooper

According to Valvoline website you will use approximately 4 quarts. They recommend ATF4 transmission fluid. Use the dip stick to check the level of the fluid.

Need to know how much automatic transmission fluid goes in where the dip stick is. It is low(bout the very bottom of the dip stick) and I need to buy some more but dont know how many quarts.

Your only going to add approx. 1 pint if the level is reading towards the bottom of the stick. 1 quart will fill the trans to the correct level, and you will have some left over. Do not over fill, add a liitle and check the level frequently.

How many quarts does the 05 pacifica trans take

I have been working on cars for 40 years, however, I take my car to trhe local oil change shop for any needed transmission oil changes. It is messy and if you don't use the correct fluid or the proper amount you will end up paying a lot more than the cost of a transmission service. The entire transmission system should be flushed which requires the proper equipment. If you pull the trans pan and drain the 3 or 4 quarts of oil from the pan you will still leave several more quarts (5-6) of dirty oil in system. Let the professionals do the transmission service.

Just my opinion.

I need to add transmission fluid to my 2001 A/T Dodge Stratus but cannot find where to add it to.

I assume this is an automatic transmission? You add the transmission fluid through the dip stick tube. It will require a slender funnel available at any good auto parts stare. It doesn't look like it's that big of a hole, but with a trans funnel, you'll get it in there. And REMEMBER, the lines on the dip stick do NOT desingnate "quarts", they designate "pints". Also, make sure the engine is running and warm when you check the fluid or you will not get an accurate reading. the Stick

Do I need to change the transmission fluid in a 2005 Honda Odyssey?

Hello rsl4god.....Yes indeed without doubt... you should change transmission fluid regularly using only original Honda transmission fluid. This is a simple drain & refill job on the Odyssey
.
Heres my take on transmission fluid...Trans fluid is the life blood of your transmission. A quality trans fluid is more important to your trans than a quality oil is to your engine. As heat in the trans goes up, the life of the fluid (and your trans) goes down. Sadly most people ignore the transmission until it breaks.
Hope this answers your question...
