Debris redeposited onto dishes RUD3000DB3

A paper-like debris is being redeposited onto my dishes after the rinse cycle and we can't see where we can remove the screen at the back on the floor of the tub to clean it out. We have removed what was on the surface of the screen. We can't see any screws.

SOURCE: Redeposits material on dishes

We had the same problem and we have managed to resolve it for the most part.  We have found that the detergent makes a huge difference.  Our experimentation found that Cascade Complete powder did the best job.  Also, our old glassware was wide at the bottom and narrow at the top which I suspect made it difficult for the spray arm to get water up there so we bought new glassware and that helped a lot too.  It still happens from time to time but it is pretty rare.

SOURCE: LG dishwasher wont clean top rack dishes

Recommend you remove the approximately 10 screws to pull the entire filter and manually clean. Remove all debris you find and thoroughly rinse out the filter if you can separate the top from the bottom. If the sump area is greasy, use a de-greasing spray to cut through it. Resemble, checking that there are no blockages in the holes on the spray arms.
Fill a bowl or cup with white vinegar and place it on the lower rack of the empty dishwasher. Do not add detergent. Run the quick cycle. The inside of the dishwasher should now be clean and not greasy. If still greasy, use the de-greasing spray (avaiable at all stores in the cleaning section.)
For 30 days, use only Electrosol or Cascade powder. Do NOT use gel or tablets, ever. Please report back your results. Good Luck!
ianc435 , please ask your question in as a new problem and I will help you out. I understand your problem.

SOURCE: LG Dishwasher redepositing debris back onto dishes

Have had a problem with our LG 5811 Dishwasher not operating.
I have found the Vent Hole Cover located inside the Door was not installed correctly. I used plumber putty between the plastic fitting and the inside face of the Door and turned the Cover fully to lock in place (vent hole is toward Door bottom). Water was leaking previously from this opening over the wires in the door.

Another problem was the lower Door Seal (under the Door) it was not installed correctly either. It was actually too long and would not seal against the bottom of the inclosure. Water was coming out and spraying the wires in the door. I had to remove the metal stiffener over the front of the Dishwasher to get to the Door Seal. I removed one end and reinstalled the seal. The Seal laid flat but was approximately 3/16" to long. I cut off the end with a sharp knife - seems to be the correct length now.

My kitchenaid dishwasher has stopped rinsing properly. There is a soap residue left on all my dishes. I am using good soap too.

Hello, W/D here.
Check the spray tips on the washing arms for blockage. If the arms are removable, take one off and place it over the sink. Take a paper clip, and bend it into an "L" shape. Use this to rake debris out of the slots near the end of the wash arms, and poke the debris in any of the nozzles back into their hole. Back wash the spray arm over the sink, flushing the residue out of the arms and re-install. For those arms that you can't remove, use the paper clip to rake the ends clean, and poke the debris in the nozzles back in the holes. You will have to check and remove the debris several times with these arms, over several cycles.
I see that you use good soap, and that's good, but consider using less of it. The detergent is abrasive, and can contribute to material on the dishes, most notably on the glassware. We have cut our detergent to about 25% of the recommended amount, and the dishes get cleaned just fine. Try cutting yours about 50% and then adjust up or down from there, depending on your washer's demands and the water quality in your area.
Preheat your water at the sink and run an empty load with two cups of vinegar, and just a sprinkle of detergent. This will help to clean out the sump of your machine.
Best Regards, --W/D--

My dishwasher does not clean my dishes good

You may have debris in the sprayer arm jets. It is usually simple to remove the sprayer arms. Usually in the center of the spray arm is a wing nut. Simply unscrew this to remove the arm(s). Then rinse them well using the sink sprayer for forceful water power. I have sometimes had to use a tweezer to remove bits of plastic, paper, bone, or food particles. Once you've remove the debris, rinse well forcing water through to dislodge any other debris. Once you've reattached the sprayer arms, you should have cleaner dishes. Also, some brands of dishwashers have a pipe that runs up the inside back wall and connects to a pipe that runs under the top shelf. Water flowing through this pipe under the top shelf propels the sprayer arms. If the connection at the back is not flush with the "propel" pipe there won't be enough water pressure to turn the sprayer arm. Check to see if your dishwasher has this type of set up.
I hope this works. If it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution.
Good luck!

If the unit is cleaning the bottom dishes normally, try unplugging the unit for 5 minutes to reset the control board.  If that doesn't work, then the control board needs to be replaced.  The problem is that control board is not diverting the water to the upper wash arm during the cycle.  Possibly a program problem
