a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

OK generally the files aren't actually physically deleted... The software simply makes it so it can;t be found... usually simply by putting a $, or # sign in place of the first letter. So find yaself a freeware data recovery software and try ya luck... is a URL to get ya started..

You can probably recover the deleted files using file recovery software like RECUVA which you can download and use for free as seen in the following links:
Just use your mouse to click on the links, which are the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated. At the CNET free download page you can read about the software, check out other user's reviews, and download it to your computer for free if you want.
You will however obviously need to use a computer connected to your camcorder by a data cable to perform the data recovery.
It is also very important to do this procedure as soon as possible. Do not record any more videos using that device and don't add or move around any data on it or the deleted files may be overwritten and lost forever. Just keep the device turned off until you can access a computer to perform the procedure or else have someone else do it for you like a technician at a computer shop.
Here is the JVC Support page for your device:
And here is a direct link to the USER'S MANUAL for that device in case you don't have it already:
To view the Support Page or the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.
You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.
Please comment back here to this page if you have any details to add, have any questions, have difficulty accessing the links, or just require further general assistance and I will respond as soon as I see it.
I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

What have you done to this camcorder since
then? Have you taken any new video with this camcorder?
You may not know that the deleted files are still on the camcorder even after the deletion process. However, any new file on this camcorder also can overwrite your previous deleted videos and make them gone permanently.
So, take care not to do that stupid thing in case of data loss.
And then, you can try to restore your deleted videos back easily by using a deleted file data recovery freeware that has ever successfully got back the inaccessible files of many people here:
I found this freeware on a popular forum as I accidentally deleted my pictures off from a phone memory card. It has done a great job and retrieved all my wanted pictures back. You should also take a chance with this freeware.
