SOURCE: outgoing fax does not feed automatically
I don't know any specific info related to the panasonic fax, but here is some "general" information that is usually universal. The fact that the paper feeds "with some help" indicates that everything is working... just not as well as it should. Very often, a problem like yours can be rectified by simply cleaning the original take-up/in rollers with some alchohol (I usually use 90%+ rubbing alchohol as it evaporates quickly and leaves little, if any, residue) on a rag. Also, there is usually some sort of "pressure pad/roller" (sometimes called a retard pad/roller") on these types of machines that work in conjunction with the primary original paper take-up roller. It can be either dirty or worn as well. This should also be cleaned. If it's a pad type system, often it just clicks/clips into place, and can be removed, the rubber pad itself flipped over in the retainer, re-installed, and the "un-worn" side then faces the paper offering better pressure for feed, and preventing multiple page feed. Hope this helps.
