Question about Panasonic PT-61DLX75 61" HDTV
The TV had been making a whiring noise for while prior to going dead (no sound/no picture) yesterday. I am trying to see if there is a code list for the blinking lights on the front of the TV. My light currently blinks red 2 times every 5 seconds. If I do a reset (holding power button down 10 seconds or so) and then try to restart it, the power button flashes green (like normal), the "iris" light lights up blue (like normal) but then the power light goes red and goes into the flash twice sequence. Any help would be appreciated. douglasazo

I had the same problems that most of you have been having, tv turning on and off, lights flashing in all different colors, having to unplug tv to reset and all of that good stuff. I noticed that most of the time this would happen once the tv would start to heat up, and I could hear the fan working a little harder. Well I am not an electrician but It was very simple to unscrew the lower bottom park of the tv, where the fan and most of the electronics sit, then I used an oxygen tank ( I work for a medical company ) to blow out all the dust in the tv, ( you can olso use the compressed air use for computer, but if grandma or grampa have some O2 laying around, it works really good, LOL. )and was very surpriced to see how dusty it was, then I removed the MAIN FAN ( you only need to remove three screws, however there's a box in fron of it, which you'll have to remove first in order to get to the fan ). this may sound a little complicated, but trust me it is not, once you have taken the fan off, clean it all the way around ( best to use a clean rag, the compressed air was not doing the job.
long story short, once I cleaned the fan and put it all back together. The TV still didn't work LOL, Just kidding, It has been working perfect for a little over a week.
If I can help in any other way, please e-mail me @ email@example.com
hope this helps.
