Question about Computers & Internet
My Mac Pro is hard wired to my modem. The disc doesn't work in my Mac. I have a Windows 8 Laptop that uses the wireless internet that will play the disc. Have tried to configure on both computers, but neither will connect to any of the IP address websites. I've tried the reset button and have changed every IP address on my system. Please help!
It's an adapter for xbox. There don't appear to be any drivers for Windows or Mac OS.

Not sure if this is where you are looking, but it probably is. click START then CONNECT TO then SHOW ALL CONNECTIONS then right click LOCAL AREA CONNECTION click STATUS then SUPPORT,,,
or CONTROL PANEL then NETWORK CONNECTIONS then right click LOCAL AREA CONNECTIONS then click STATUS then SUPPORT tab
See what you have there for an IP address
Is it the computer you don't have an IP for or the router? In my case my computer IP the 8th or last digit is the next number after what it is for the router. The other numbers are the same

Sorry, forgot to mention this earlier. Maybe netgear offers free Live Chat tech support. Go to their web site.

SOURCE: cannot connect to internet
Make the Ip address similary to the router, example 192.168.1.25 should work.
SUbnet mask will then fill in automaticaly, just leave it
then Default gateway will be the routers IP. 192.168.1.1
the dns server would be the ip of your internet provider. I would leave it blank at first, see if it will work then. If not, then ask your service provider for it. If they give u a number, then you will have to go into the router properties, and change the dns and stuff like that in there aswell.
