Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve not closing correctly- its 'no power/default' position. It's the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

google "how to clean washer pump filter" - there's a couple of videos on youtube. (if you're lucky, your model will have an access door, if not, you unbolt the lower access panel to get at it.)
it's easy to do, and very effective. (there's no point "deodorizing" a pile of rotting lint, when you can remove it and solve the problem.)
