SOURCE: unable to remove the fan blade on the neff u1721 oven (too tight)

The nut is a left hand thread, so unscrew it clockwise to release it, hold fan blade as you are doing this. Tighten anti- clockwise.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Take apart method to replace rubber drive belt.

I had the same dillema, till I discovered a soft spot on the label. They put one last screw there. I got the housing open and discovered the belt was broken. Ordered a new belt ($12.39) through ACE Hardware repair center, now I can't get the belt on. That is why I came to this site.
The Ace guy told me he has had lot of calls for this particular belt. If you order one, I suggest you order two.
Good luck.

Remove hoover vacuum fan

I don't know what model you have but on most vacuums you need to remove the nozzle housing from the vacuum, remove the cover over the motor to gain access to the motor. Remove any screws holding the motor in. Remove the motor and take the screws out to allow access to the fan. Remove the fan, replace and put back together exactly as it was before.

How do I clean dryer squirrel cage?

To remove drum/fan drive motor:

• Remove rear panel & rear air duct. Remove belt from belttensioner. Remove top panel & drum if needed for better access.
• Disconnect terminal connector from motor, then remove two screws from motor mount & one screw holding fan to front shield. Lift rear of motor mount up and slide entire assembly toward rear of dryer.
• While holding motor shaft, not rotor fins, remove fan blade from motor shaft. Remove three screws, then remove fan housing from motor.
• Remove spring clamps by pushing ends of them down and away from motor. Lift motor up from motor mount.

How easy or much time it take to change a front blower fan on a 2001 grand caravan and can it be done at home?

It is easy and takes about 1-hour to change out.
However, before rushing to the conclusion that the Blower Motor is bad....
1. Does the Blower work on High (or #4) only? If so then it is not the Motor it is the Resistor which is located behind the Glove box, mounted onto/into the Fire Wall. Follow step #a. below and take out the Glove Box to access. It measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high, and has 3 to 4 wires going into it.
2. Have you already checked and/or replaced the Front Blower Motor Relay located in the Fuse and Relay Center. If not you should do this first before anything. However if the Blower does only work on High then this Relay is good and you should only replace the Resistor Only.
I am very convinced that it is either the Relay the Resistor as these fail far more times than the Motor.
a. Disconnect the Negative Cable from the Battery and wait at least two (2) minutes to deactivate the Airbag Sensors.
b. Remove the Glove Box.
c. Disconnect the Electrical Connection.
d. Remove the two (2) screws holding the Air Housing to Lower Air Intake Housing.
e. Remove the two (2) screws holding the Recirculation Door Actuator.
f. Disconnect the wire harness from the clips holding them onto the Lower Intake Housing.
g. Remove the three (3) screws holding the Lower Air Intake Housing to the Lower half of the Evaporator Housing.
h. Push the rubber grommet of the blower motor wires throught the hole in the Lower Air Intake Housing.
i. Remove the Lower Air Intake Housing from the Evaporator Housing and Upper Air Intake Housing.
j. Manipulate the Recirculation Door to have access to the three (3) screws holding the Blower Motor to the Blower Housing in the bottom of the Evaporator Housing.
k. Gently bend the Recirculation Door so that you can remove the Blower Motor and Blower Wheel from the Blower Housing.
l. Remove the Blower Motor and Blower Wheel.
Some Blower Motors do not come with the Blower Wheel. Remove the retaining clip from the Shaft of the Blower Wheel and remove the Wheel off the Shaft.

Replace Kirby legend II fan (impeller blade)

In order to replace the fan you will buy a 2 or three piece lexan fan kit containing the fan a spacer and shaft.
You must remove the carpet head and then looking from the back of the machine you will find a series of philips screws on the outer edge of the fan housing facing towards the front, several of which may be partly covered by the motor housing. You will remove the forward facing screws to allow the housing to separate and reveal the fan.
If you are lucky there will be a sideways hole through the impeller shaft allowing you to slip a nail through to help twist the saft to unscrew it while holding the fan .
The shaft will turn off revealing a threaded motor shaft with spacers which the broken fan will slide off revealing a second spacer at the back . Be sure to replace these spacers in the same order when re-assembling the unit. Secure the shaft hand tight. Post back to advise if you need further help

Hoover U6317-930 - Turbine Locked Up!

You will need to remove the hood as though changing the belt. Then best to detach the handle/ bag chamber with the black screw at the lower end in the center.
Lay the vac flat and you should see two clamps over the motor housing, one on either side. Undo the clamps and the motor will lift out. There will be four more screws holding the fan shroud onto the motor housing. Remove these and detach the fan end only. Installation is the reverse order. The fan itself will unscrew if replacing, just secure the motor shaft without damaging it.
Polish the motor shaft clean for a new belt, removing burned rubber. I use 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper or steel wool.
Any evidence of a damaged fan blade means a new fan is required.
While you're at it, unscrew the end caps on the brush roll and remove the hair and thread. Then reassemble so it spins freely when holding the end caps. Install a new genuine belt. It will be snug, use the brush to pull it into place.
When reassembling be sure to engage the carpet height control through the lid
If this helps please acknowledge. If not psot back with the next problem

Hoover upright has stopped working and tripped the circuit breaker. Where is the fuse located on the hoover ?

Most Hoover uprights do not have fuse. Some canisters doe but it is a thermal shutoff. When the vac overheats and cools down it restarts on its own.
You very likly have motor damage, but if lucky you could have an obstruction in the fan causing a jam. Do not attempt to run again.Lift the lid off the vac and see if the drive shaft for the belt will turn. If not motor will need to be removed and fan housing and intake area inspected. If the motor shaft turns and you hear scratching or clicking, the carbon brushes are likely damaged often requiring a replacement motor. If the fan is jammed you will need to dismantle the fan housing. Remove the two motor clamps and there will be four screws on the side of the housing to release the fan cover. The fan should rotate freely in your hand.

My fan belt on my hoover is broken, where is it located and how do i fit a new fan belt

Get a new belt, then remove the bottom plate. The belt goes around the brush roll and the motor shaft. If you don't see the motor shaft, then you will need to remove the top cover to get to it. The belt will stretch to go from the motor shaft to where the brush roll sits in. If this model has 2 belts, then the drive belt(flat) goes from the motor shaft to the bigger pulley close to the brush roll.

Noisey hoover

Wish you have posted the model number, but the fan on alot of the Hoovers are on the end of the motor, opposite the motor shaft. You will have to pull the motor out to see the fan, if broken, replace it by taking the 4 screws out and removing the fan housing, There will either ne a bolt to remove, or the fan will unscrew by turning clock wise. Sometimes they are tough to get off.
