ok you reset your bios by given process

Yet another way to clear the CMOS is to reseat the CMOS battery. By removing and then reinstalling the CMOS battery, you remove the source of power that saves your computer's BIOS settings.

Another way to clear the CMOS is to short the "CLEAR CMOS" jumper on your motherboard, assuming you have one (most motherboards do).

Reason for showing "check main

your bios has been damaged the bios chip on your motherboard could be damaged to check it

restart your compuetr during the boot up process you will see a certain key to press to enter set up (bios) press and hold that key to enter bios using the arrow keys scroll to load optimised defaults

You will also need to reset the time and date.

In the main or system setup screen you should be able to see the date and time Using your arrow keys navigate to the date and change the date.

Once highlighted on the month, day, or year, press your arrow keys or your page up / page down keys to change the date.
Save, Exit and re-boot and everything should then work.

I neeb bios update for sahara laptop al096

Don't do it unless there is a VERY COMPELLING REASON. BIOS flash upgrades don't always go well. If it fails for ANY reason, you are out of business ... rarely can you go back with success.

This is a case of if it ain't broke - don't fix it.

I have dell inspiron 1545 bios password and don't know what to do!

I use http://www.unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_Dell_Bios.php to get the bios master password that clears the current bios password. You then have full access to the bios setup. I have use them many times with no problems. I come across a lot of Dell laptops that have their bios password set for no reason. I think there may be a bug in the bios that causes it to set bios password.

Can't access BIOS setup due to keyboard-less operation being on

My friend, excuse the little smile I have on my face.

You are in a pickle. If I found myself in this situation, I would open the computer, find the BIOS battery and remove it. Wait 5 minutes and reinstall it. This should restore the manufacturer default values for your computer

In the big picture, there is little reason for anyone to enter the BIOS and make changes ... and for good reason. Dont do it unless ther is exceptional reason to do so.

Asus bios problem

Unless there is a compelling reason to update the bios it should be left alone. Apparently this is one reason for that sage advice.

Go back to asus, download an older version of the bios and install it. Fortunately you didn't end up unable to boot or you would be buying a new board.

I have bought a new pc this one and has vista

the reason is the bios, when these pc's are built they are built to run Vista and the bios version is refering to vista and not XP, you will need to download and install an earlier version if this is possible, install XP then instal vista on a seperate partition if you require it.
