Band saw blade keeps coming off

Set up your band saw properly. There are several reason why band saw blade keeps on coming off on the wheels: loose/wear tire, improper guide adjustment, incorrect tension, over feeding wood stock or the problem could be on the blade itself. Try to change your blade, I got my band saw blades on sawblade.com . I suggest you watch band saw tune up tutorial videos on youtube. Hope that helps.

Delta 28-160 band saw 3 wheel, blade keeps coming off

Sounds like your tracking screw needs adjustment, located right beside the knob used for tightening after adjusting the tension on the blade. Allen wrench required. Turning right pushes out and turning left pulls it in. A little is a lot when adjusting this screw. Always turn the blade in the same direction as the cut while adjusting.

Blade keeps coming off

If your blade comes off it either needs adjustment or the blade is stretched to the point where it needs replacement. Try adjusting the blade first, the handbook gives full instructions on this and it is just a case of loosening off the lock screw, turning the eccentric adjuster until the guide link that slides in the guide bar just clears the groove. Re-tighten the lock screw. Make sure that the saw cannot start or kick and wear gloves when working on the chain.

I have a 12" Craftsman Band saw and the blade keeps coming off. What adjustments do i have to make to put on a new blade and keep it on?

The wheels have to be true at 180 degrees facing each other. Use a metal rafter square if needed to align the trueness of these wheels. If one is angled out ward the blade does come off the wheel

Delta 28-185 bandsaw cuts crooked after 4" of straight cut adjustments have been made as per manual

Sounds like your blade is getting hot, causing it to expand, causing it to be too loose. The blade gets hot when it's teeth are rubbing or scraping the material more than they are cutting. . You might see some improvement by increasing the blade tension and feeding the material a bit more aggressively. . But you will see greater improvement by using a blade with fewer teeth. For a given blade, the thicker the material is, the more teeth there are engaged in cutting at the same time, so each tooth gets a smaller share of your feeding force. . The optimum number of teeth that should be engaged in the cut at a time varies by the material, the style, quality and condition of the blade, and the rigidity of the saw---- but you can use 3 to 10 as a rough guide. . Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa. Al Kupchella

I have a Craftsman 10 inch band saw. The blade keeps coming off. I can't find my manual. How do I adjust the alignment on it?

the blade tension shaft in the rear top of the saw should also have a tracking adjustment knob that tilts the top wheel. Open the top guard and spin the top wheel by hand and adjust the tracking knob until the blade atays on. Better unplug the saw until you get this done, then you can power the saw back up and fine tune the tracking while running until it is perfect. hope this helps you.

I have a Delta heavy duty construction table saw and the blade needs to be alligned to make it cut straight. Nothing appears to be bent. How do I adjust the screws to improve my ctting.

I have the same saw and love it. There are mounting bolt under the table between the blade and the motor. There not ment to be used for adjusting but there is some play. The way to get the best cut is to adjust the fence to the blade. I have a Bessimer fence that adjusts easily with two allan machine screws the push plastic pads against the arms rail. I get cuts that look like DA with 220 was used. Enjoy the saw and good luck.
