SOURCE: haier tv stuck in standby mode, led red on.no control on remote?

Hi I had the same problem with my Hitachi. Finally I found a solution that worked. I didn't have a remote. I held the channel up button on the TV itself. While holding the channel up I then held down the power button at the same time maybe for 10 seconds. Then the TV turned on. I hope that helps. :)

TV will not come on even though the light turns blue

check for leak or bad capacitors in the power supply board, then if you can make a voltage checking just to ensure if output voltage in the power supply board are present. the 5v standby 5v switch 12v and 24vdc at the power supply doesn't drop.

there is 2 problems that makes this tv have standby fault.. so here they are,!

1.)main av board ---the 8 leg eeprom loses programing just under LVD CABLE TO SCREEN -£14.99 from a guy or if you can program yourself 4.99 for the flash to reprogram,.

2.)POWER SUPPLY FAULT IS MLT199TL PSU. (UA4)AREA, SG3525AN (16 leg) Regulating pulse width modulator.

the first fault all votage at psu will be there ,, 5v / 12v / 24v

the second fault psu will have 5v standby but no 12v or 24v this will stop the secondary from fireing up.. hope this helps.

I want to convert this power supply for use with a battery charger for model aircraft. I need to know the color codes for the wires and also the pinout and which wire is the power on.

Pin Name Color Description
1 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
2 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
3 COM Black Ground
4 5V Red +5 VDC
5 COM Black Ground
6 5V Red +5 VDC
7 COM Black Ground
8 PWR_OK Gray Power Ok (is a status signal generated by the power supply to notify the computer that the DC operating voltages are within the ranges required for proper computer operation)
9 5VSB Purple +5 VDC Standby Voltage (max 10mA)
10 12V Yellow +12 VDC
11 3.3V Orange +3.3 VDC
12 -12V Blue -12 VDC
13 COM Black Ground
14 /PS_ON Green Power Supply On (active low). Short this pin to GND to switch power supply ON, disconnect from GND to switch OFF.
15 COM Black Ground
16 COM Black Ground
17 COM Black Ground
18 -5V White -5 VDC
19 5V Red +5 VDC
20 5V Red +5 VDC

/PSON activated by pressing and releasing the power button while the power supply is in standby mode. Activating /PSON connects the power supply's /PSON input to ground, thereby switching the power supply to full-on condition.
18 AWG is recommended for all wires except pin 11, which should be 22 AWG. For 300W configurations 16 AWG is recommended.
There are several ATX variants.
Hope this helps.
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
consider giving me a rating of 4.It will help me as well. Thank you.

My system donot boot at all

do it only if u r a professional..
assuming that the system bios hs not been flashed or updated in a wrong way..if so u gotta replace the m/b..
1st check for ac main supply and fuse..next check all the outputs of smps viz. 0v (black~ground); +12v (yellow); +5v (red, green~ps-on, violet~pg & grey~sb); -12v (blue); -5v(white); +3.3v(orange)..if faulty try repairing or replacing the power supply with a standby n see..
if all above are ok..check the cmos/system battery..(above +3v)..
check the cpu fan rotating and the cpu generating heat..try replacing the cpu with a standby (if no heat is generated)..
there may b a chance for m/b's crystal clock generator to b faulty..try repairing or replacing the m/b with a standby..
hope it'll b enough to solve ur problem..
seek professional assistance of ur system admin/vendor....

turn the power on. to get rid of the red light you need to press the timer/rec button on the remote until it turns off. the red light means it is programed to record.
