Samsung retune As required (Australian retuning to meet nationwide digitisation adjustments) I retuned my 50" Samsung without any difficulty. However on my older LA26R7, when selecting the aerial /channel icon, the button remains grey and inactive/unhighlighted; it therefore does not allow "Channel" to be selected and therefore I cannot retune the TV.

Hi, Try this go to menue on tv run the channel scan function.
If you are using a PVR or Tivo do the same with that, But you will have to set your TV to channel 3 to get your PVR/Tivo going. or in some TVs TV1 or TV2...depending how you hooked it up.or if you have HDMI cable... Good luck

You need the DTV Menu and then do a complete re scan.
Look in your manual, Follow instructions as if you just bought it.

How do i retune my samsung tv,now that all freeview tvs had to be retuned the other day. please tell me wat to do via teh remote control

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box.
