a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

one of the best features of the Apple is there is no such thing as bios.
Most preferences are set for you and you can anything else in the systems folder in the dock or up top on your menu bars. I've worked on the Mac for 20 year and love them...you'll never go back to a PC

When you power up the computer press F2 or "del" or F5 or F12 or TAB key to enter in bios.
Thanks for using fixya.

Hello there, I am the computer technician that will be assisting you today. My name is Norman-Wynne Damstra.
Welcome to Fixya, Gene Reinhard!
Another key to tap repeatedly when you computer is first powered on is the delete key.
Also some-times USB keyboards are not detected quick enough to actually register your key pressing at the appropriate time. Overcome this by using an older keyboard with a PURPLE PS2 connection.

Hold down the F1 key, then, while continuing to hold it down, press the power switch. the system will turn on, then prompt you to check system and press F2 (thats from memory, it maybe F1 again) to enter BIOS.
With many Toshibas you can hold down any key to do this, as it simply generates a keyboard error, prompting the same message.
Hope this info helps.
