Panel between doors are heating up

Really hot between the doors .. wondering if this got to do with sensors , that are reading the temps wrong

The condenser is dirty or the fan motor next to the compressor is not operating.

I have an 04 grand am it takes forever to reach operating temp i have changed the thermostat and flushed the system but rarely get heat i have read many things that could be wrong but dont know where to...


What's the temp at the upper radiator hose ,coming out of the engine ? What does the computer (PCM ) show the temp to be . Would need to hook up a scan tool that can read sensor data to know that . Going to harbor freight tools an buying a infrared thermometer to see what the temp. is ! You have no heat ? Temp gauge showing that it's not getting hot ? Are the heater hose's going into through the firewall hot .

I have a 2004 Sedona. A/C quit working and the temp gauge is all the way to hot. What's wrong?


Is the engine really running that hot ? If the coolant sensor fails, the computer will kill the ac to try to prevent the engine from running hot.
The radiator fan could also be the problem.

What would not allow my heater not to give me heat.the temp. is reading in the ok range-not running hot,but no heat coming out of the heater.


Is it a GM prouduct? If so it is a bad heat sensor and/or activaters that controls the interior heat and cooling..a common problem with GM ..need to have them checked out...can be an easy fix like defective operating arm or an expensive one if the problem is the door inside the heat/cooling compartment..hope this helps..good luck.

I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING FROM ENGINE HEAD CHECK PRESSURE TEST RADIATOR REPLACEMENT, THERMASTAT REPLACEMENT, WATERPUMP REPLACEMENT. THE COOLING FANS KICK IN, AND THE CAR STILL RUNS HOT ...WHAT'S NEXT?


ok , but no engine stated. which one>??
hot = lying dash gauge or real hand held pyro IR gun? a $20 tool.
did the scan tool ECT reading show too hot, Yes/no.

no new cap, really?
is the cam timed right?
is the spark timed right.?
is the ECU stuck in limphome mode? (huge heat to cylinder walls)
thermostat not upside down.
or thermostat not with bleed hole up hill trapping air below
making it lie and the dash gauge lie too, (the gauge can not measure air, period)

id not do squat with no IR gun. not me. its super accurate too.
and dirt cheap and saves burned hands,
and finds clogged rad tubes saving useless $250 new rad.
one tool. use it. and win.


i this this dang I6 engine, that loves to trap air?
had 3,now, over 500k miles on them. 1988 to present.
and never overheated but once, pin hole in heater core hose
ran bypass and drove home.
i have a 08 wrangler 6sp, 3.8L v6 , nice rig. easy to fix too.

there are 2 parts. (3 really)
engine make too much heat, (limphome or timed wrong)
air in system.
cooling system.

the rad pressure test pass and the green/blue test passes

no water in engine oil
no oil or carbon seen in the engine coolant , all places look.

how hot, ??????

the FSM shows you this, and how to do that. how to make sure the
fans kick in happen, RIGHT. some are 2 staged with A/C.

Are the heater hoses going into the passenger compartmet from the engine bay Hot ? What's the temp. of the engine coolant ? Go to harbor freight tools an buy a Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer With Laser Targeting . an test the temp of the coolant . Hook up a scan tool that can read sensor data an see what the PCM is seeing from the coolant temp sensor .
If the temp is good , heater hoses hot etc.... probably a temp blend door actuator .

Drivers side vents blowing heat when ac is on


a few things can be wrong but generaly with electronic temp control systems the fault is either the blend door,door motor or temp sensor and caddy usually had split zones... meaning one unit of each per side as mentioned above ie; doors,motor,temp sensor. there is a way to set the climate control system into test mode, it can test itself and tell if it out of range, faulty sensors, also if you can find a friend or a person with a scan tool that can read body codes. one these is your fault or a wire issue is possible. I have 20yrs ford dealer exp.

My oven takes a very long time to heat up, and never really achieves the set pre heated temp


Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Temp gauge reads half but there is no heat blowing


the door inside the heater control box unit may be stuck shut. It runs off a vacuum port to open
