Problem with ELNA 6200

My Elna 6200 doesn't work correctly. The sign ][ appears on the display. I can't switch sewing modes. Maybe someone knows what is wrong.

That symbol indicates the bobbin winder is engaged. disengage the bobbin winder, all should be good. If not the micro switch that indicates the bobbin winder is engaged (when it's not) may need adjust or replacement. See a tech

SOURCE: Elna Primula 410 Bobbin Winding Question

Wind the Bobbin
For the usual jobs, it is the best to use a medium sized thread.
2. Disengage the flywheel by unscrewing the coupling knob as far as it will go.

3. Place the bobbin on the bobbin winder, and push the bobbin winder to the right.

4. Pull out one of the spool pins and place the spool of thread on it.

5. Pass the thread through the bobbin winder tension discs, as indicated.

6. Wind the end of the thread around the bobbin by hand, in the direction indicated.

7. Wind the bobbin, at a medium speed by pressing lightly with a finger on the spool so as to stretch the thread better and thus fill the bobbin to a maximum. The full bobbin stops automatically.

8. Re-engage the flywheel by tightening the coupling knob.

9. Cut the thread and remove the bobbin from the bobbin winder by pushing the latter to the left.

I have an old Elnita 130 sewing machine with no manual. How to I thread it? It appears to work but shows signs that I did not thread it correctly.

elna make elinta machine and a 140 is the same threading as a 130
try entering the sites as most I go to require an account ( free) to procedure to read or down load and that process would be better for you
I went google and typed in--user manual for elinta sewing machine model 130-- and the sites show 130, 140 and more so select a site and go from there
thee is also a www.youtube.com>watch that runs for 1.29 and shows how to thread an old elna sewing machine
you might pick up a clue from that film

When, where and with what do I oil our Elna 6200 sewing machine?

Refer to your manual as to oiling your machine. Some computerized machines do not require oil. By all means, do NOT use 3-in-1, WD-40, or cooking oil on your expensive machine. Use a good quality sewing machine oil if you want it to last.

Here is a manual for download if you need one:

I have an Elna supermatic. It is very ancient but still sews ver well. It is making a noise like a clacking when it goes fast, not when sewing at slow to medium speed. The noise is like metal banging on...

Without being able to actually hear the sound and see the machine work, I would suggest that the timing is off and needs to be adjusted. A professional repairperson would need to do this work. Once it's adjusted it will work like a charm. I hope you can find someone to take care of this repair for you so you can enjoy sewing! If this helps you, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice!
