SOURCE: garrison tower heater flashed E3

hi there, i just ran into the same problem i think i have the solution:

the E3 code is a "fall down" sensor shut off, what i think the problem is the internal sensor for when the unit falls over and shuts itself off is really sensitive. i had mine on carpet and it was acting up quite a bit till i wiggled it and put it on a more level surface.

hope this helps

Garrison heater red light on but no heat

I just fixed mine with the same problem. I first called Garrison and they wanted to send a tech out to fix my $60 heater that was just of warranty..I said no of course. Any how I have a electronic background so troubleshot myself and found a thermo fuse that was bad. It was located inside the heater and not easy to get to but that was the problem. I am guessing that the fuse goes because of blockage at the top of the heater. Any how it's fixed.

These things are recalled, Canadian Tire has probably removed them from their website. The switch (OFF/I/II/III) seems to be a fire hazard.

Return it to your nearest Canadian Tire.

Error code of 6 flashing light on circuit board,

There appears to be a short in the unit. Not sure where. The power to the fan is not interrupted completly when the fan shuts down, still feeding voltage to the fan, keeping it running slow. Before checking the wiring, please turn off power first.
