SOURCE: Saeco Incanto Flashing Red Bean Light

I found a machine in my dentist's office with this exact same problem. I'm not familiar with the model, so I downloaded a manual for the closest model I could find online (the Sirius), and it offered no help -- but in 8 languages!

I ended up just pulling the drip tray, pulling the box where the grounds end up, and re-inserting the assembly (all while the machine was on.) When I buttoned it up again, it worked.

Hope this helps (although I can see how it might not...)

ok turn the machine on and wait till warmed up. Open door while machine is on and remove the dreg drawer. This you always need to do when the machine is on otherwise it will not reset.
flashing means dreg drawer steady means coffee beans

SOURCE: Saeco Incanto S-Class Sirius coffee machine not sensing beans.

I have the exact same problem with mine.
The machine will work fine with pre ground coffee, but is a no go with beans.
The machine grinds the beans, puts them in to be brewed, moves the brewing unit into the brew position, then I get a short hiss - then it resets chucking the slightly damp dregs out. Interestingly if i run the steam for a good while first, then order a coffee it does seem to try a bit harder - I get a very small trickle of coffee sometimes. It seems like it's not quite closing around the o ring, or as if it's too much pressure and it is blocked, but I know it isn't blocked because it works fine with pre ground!
Either when doing bean to cup I do not get the 'pre brewing - brewing' cycle picture up on the lcd, it's almost like it's missing this part of the operation or it's corrupt?
I have already taken the grinder apart and serviced it - descaled it etc. I use very dry beans, but no water comes out even if I use no beans - again only works on pre ground.
Any help would be appreciated!

The thing that comes to mind is the brew unit is blocked and or the grind is too fine. Remove the brew unit and clean the screen under the red o-ring.

My Saeco Vienna Black Automatica Espresso maker will grind coffee only about one-fourth of the time. Other times, it makes whirring sound and then shuts off and red "coffee bean" light comes on.

Your grind is to fine. Turn the big knob in the bean hopper up 4 clicks and try again. It could be oily beans which would require the same solution.

Hi
More than likely your grind is to fine and you are using oily beans (shiney). There is a small knob in the bean hopper. turn it down to the minus side. Turn the big knob to the # 18. If that doesn't work you are going to have to take the grinder apart and clean it.

Hi,

make sure you not get any damp into the grinder. If you have damp in the grinder then it do not grind the beans.
