Question about Vacuums

Open Question

Electrolux twin clean

Turns itself off while in use. Have replace filters, all of them. Changing Seemed to help a little the first day or so but now back to turning itself off. Sometimes runs for 15- 20 minutes, sometimes only a few seconds. Will run fine when cleaning the filters. Hose seems ok but ? could be a short. Don't want to spend money in part not needed...is there a way to check or do you have suggestions.

SOURCE: Vacuum hose has little suction.

There is most likely a clog in the hose. If the hose has poor suction the foot probably has poor suction as well seeing that the hose is what gives the foot assy suction.

SOURCE: Hi, My Electrolux twin clean vacuum has both red

Try taking the twin filters outside - also take a dustpan brush and tap the filters gently on the bottom, then brush the dust away as it comes out. This can take quite some time, and you will find that LOTS of compacted dust will come out!

Self clean and power lights flashing on electrolux

you either need new filters or you have a bad electronic board or possibly both. Most of these machines only last a couple of years. Not to discourage you, but do yourself a favor and don't buy another one. It's a chinese made Eureka with a lux label. Electrolux went bankrupt many years ago and Eureka bought the name. Miele, Sebo, Riccar, or Lindhaus are all better choices.

Bad sumo board

HI There,
I have replaced quite a number of SUMO boards on the Electrolux Twin Clean Vacuums. We have them in our online store vacuumspot.com.au
I am a little unsure from your question if you are looking to buy one or hoping to repair the board itself. If you are looking to buy this Sumo Board (part number 2193235021) or any other Electrolux Z8240 Spares we can certainly help you there.
However as far as I am aware the board is not realistically possible to repair so if that is what you wanted to do I think you are out of luck.
Hope this at least clears things up a little.
Regards
Alec

Electrolux vacuum model C141A: No apparent obstructions, but vacuum shuts down and overload indicator lights regardless of suction setting from 1-5. Suspect overload sensor, but don't know how to access it...

Check the afterfilter. If it's dirty it can cause this. Try turning the vacuum on with the filter off.
If this doesn't help, the problem is probably with the Control Valve Assembly, or a tube connecting to it. This is the part that the dial connects to. The tubes often get clogged and need cleaned periodically, especially if generic ("made to fit") bags are used. The CVA itself may also be worn out or broken.
For cleaning, repair, or replacement, the vacuum needs to be taken to the nearest authorized Aerus Electrolux store. The service tech should also do a thorough cleaning and, at your request, preventive maintenance on the vacuum.

There is a no filter safety device part #1130912-01, maybe the new filter isn't in quite like it should be or this device has gone bad. Also check the brush roll and make sure it turns easily, if not then that could be the cause.
