Question about NetGear Computers & Internet
Authentication required is what it says when I go to router login. I put n my use rid and password and it's not the right one apparently! So,what do I do to get logged inauthentication

If your Comtrend CT-5621 came with the package from your ISP then it is possible that the username and password has been changed by your provider and you would have to get in touch with them.
In some instances the username is "root" and the password is "root".
Some known passwords from ISPs are:
Canadian Broadband/Aliant - RM60008
NetComm - NetC0mmV3oo
Some ISPs disabled/blocked the web based configuration interface and the initial way to communicate with it is a telnet session to the router.
Would you know if your default IP address of 10.0.0.1?

try admin and admin again for password. If that is not it try leaving the password box blank. Good luck Are you sure you did not change the password when you set it up the first time. If you did you have no other option than reset.

Maybe you are getting LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY. This happens when the wireless adapter is able to find a network but the pc cannot get an ip address. One of the reason for that is that your wireless network might be secured and you missed to enter the correct network key when you were asked by the computer. The wireless security is set on the wireless router, SO WHEN YOU SET THE PROFILE ON YOUR WIRELESS ADAPTER, YOU SHOULD ALREADY HAVE THE WIRELESS SETTINGS FROM YOUR WIRELESS ROUTER. THEY HAVE TO MATCH FOR YOU TO HAVE A COMPLETE CONNECTION.

When in doubt double check your work. You held the reset button down on the back of the router for long enough for the lights to go out then start blinking again? Then you went to 192.168.100.1 in your browser and tried admin for your login name and motorola for your password? If you did all of that and it's still won't accept your login try to power the router off for at least a minute by pulling the power cord and make sure you clear your browser cache before trying to access the default gateway address in your browser again.

Leave the username blank, then enter "admin" as the password. You can also reset the router to factory defaults by pressing the reset button on the back (small hole, use paper clip) and then try again.
