I fixed my problem by disconnecting the control board, cleaning all the contact points (including the ribbon cable) with alcohol and reconnecting everything as tight as possible.
I did notice that one of the contacts had become very corroded, so I scrubbed this one for a while. Prior to this I had done some selective unplugging and replugging (ribbon cable in particular) to no avail (each of these attempts powered on to beeping and no display).
Not a fancy solution, but it did work!

I was getting the remove rack error until I finally figured out what it wanted me to remove. When you say you removed the rack supports, do you mean just the sliding parts or the whole side metal rack support? At first I thought they were bolted in, but I read somewhere that they come out, too. Upon further investigation, I found the rack supports just slide into the side walls at 4 points. I had to use a little force to pull them out, but they came out and my oven is self-cleaning as I write this. I just thought I would share in case you or others haven't figured it out yet. Now I will just have to see how hard it is to get them back in...

Hello, The first thing I'd look at is your owner's manual to insure the timer hasn't been set to "Sabbath" mode accidently. If that is the case you could experience a "no display" scenario. The manual will also explain how to enter/exit the "Sabbath" mode. In the event the timer itself is at fault ( i.e. the display transformer gone bad ) it will have to be replaced or (if an available option exist's for your timer) have your timer rebuilt. SOURCE: oven does not work,no display.
the display board itself would be the culprit,the part might be under warranty,if under 5 years consult manual or manufacturer for coverage....the part is probably expensive
