SOURCE: how to get caluator off fix?

I'm not sure what G-fix is, but a lot of people seem to be having the problem with no decimals. If you're in COMP mode, try pressing the [S<->D] button (directly above the DEL key), or try putting it in STAT mode.

SOURCE: my casio fx-992s is showing

The DEG is merely indicating that the angular mode is set to degrees. If you want to change it to radians or grads, press SHIFT MODE and make your selection.

Likewise, the FIX is merely indicating that the calculator is displaying numbers in fixed decimal notation. If you're not seeing any digits to the right of the decimal point, then you're in FIX 0 mode. To change it, press SHIFT MODE. You can choose FIX and the calculator will prompt for the number of digits, or you can select NORM.

My caluculator is stuck on the word fix

A popular question. I Googled "casio fx-55 users manual" The first link will bring you to all the casio questions on this site. Others have posted the same problem. Possibly one of the existing solutions will work for you. I don't want to steal someone's solution. Look for yourself cause it will be a specific series of keystrokes.
