I have a singer sewing machine model 1 I am wanting to order a blind stitch foot. I don't seem to be able to locate can you help me?

Hm, if you talking of a blind hem foot, this indicates that one came with the Singer One.

It appears your machine has a snap-on foot capability, so if that is the case, a snap-on blind hem foot should work.

How do I adjust tension on a Janome Harmony 9102D

Sounds like you want to do a rolled hem for a handkerchief edge, I do the following to create a rolled hem on my over locker. Take out left needle and cut and remove that thread. Open front cover and slide back lever for the stitch finger in the needle plate, this finger stops the fabric rolling under thread tension normally so you need to pull it back out of engagement. Your Janome may have a similar means to select the rolled hem or you may need to remove the stitch finger with a screwdriver, it varies between models.

Thread upper looper with wooly nylon and right needle and lower looper in matching colour thread. (You can go wooly on the bottom looper but it hardly shows so I never bother.) Disengage upper blade and move the fixed lower blade to the right to trim less, then lower upper blade back into position. Now tension, needle leave alone (5)' upper looper very loose (2-3) and lower looper tighten up to 6-7 and test stitch. You want the upper looper thread to go right underneath and the lower looper thread to disappear against the needle stitch. And the fabric to roll inside the stitching. Finesse tensions on the loopers until this is right, you may need to change blade position too, depends on weight of the fabric and how it rolls. Once this is right turn stitch length down to close up stitching, 0.8 or even 0.5 if you want full coverage. Thats it. You can use differential feed if you want a fluted rolled edge, nice on knits.

Need settings for Simplicity easyLock SL370 rolled hem. Machine belongs to a friend who recently moved and the instruction manual has gone missing. Thank you!

narrow 3thread seam, so remove left needle. loosen top looper tension to 3 or 2, tighten bottom looper tension to 7 or 8. thread top looper with woolly overlock thread and reduce stitch length. there is also a thread finger u need to flick back on throat or needle plate usually to make rolled hem. also move blade to right to trim less fabric as you want the fabtic to roll under inside the seam.

Need to lock blind hem stitch end.....like single needle backtack...???is it possible

Hi, I have found the most dependable thing to do is: Before removing the fabric from the machine, snip the thread between the fingers of the looper as it approaches the needle. If the loop is broken, the chain stitch will not pull out. If you cut the loop as it approaches the needle, you will get a bit longer tail so the needle doesn't come unthreaded on the next run. If you find you need a bit longer thread tail, you can pull a bit on that loop before cutting. As long as the needle has passed through the loop on the previous stitch. here i writing a site for you ,here you can get the manual.and easly fix the problem.

Timing problem on Rex commercial blind stitch

retime your hook with relation to your needle the hook is slightly out of time causing it to "slip the loop" the hook should hold the loop until the needle retracts forming the chain

REX blind hem how to lock the stitch

When I purchased my blindstitch machine, I was also told to kind of snap the fabric as you pulled it our of the machine. Like you, I found that to be a little risky. Sometimes I'd just unravel what I'd sewn. I have found the most dependable thing to do is: Before removing the fabric from the machine, snip the thread between the fingers of the looper as it approaches the needle. If the loop is broken, the chain stitch will not pull out. If you cut the loop as it approaches the needle, you will get a bit longer tail so the needle doesn't come unthreaded on the next run. If you find you need a bit longer thread tail, you can pull a bit on that loop before cutting. As long as the needle has passed through the loop on the previous stitch, you'll be fine.

HOW TO THREAD

Go to www.reliablecorporation.com. Under products check out the MSK555 blindhem machine. It is the same as the Rex 518. To the right of the page is a category to download the manual. It is very helpful. I have the Rex518 with the original instructional manual, but the translation into English was very poor. The MSK555 is published so you can understand the manual, and figure out how to use your machine. I too am a first time user of a blind hemming machine.
Good Luck.
