Question about Epson TM T88 Thermal Printer
When the transaction is made the auto cut feature cuts a small strip from the bottom and top of the receipt leaving me with two small blank strips of paper with every purchase made. how can I correct it so that doesn't happen?

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: unfinished printing cut-off
Are you using the APD304e driver for your printer? It has option where to cut paper, if not you can download driver from epsonexpert.com site, you will have to register first so that you will get a username and password. then go to technical resources, then select printer model then download driver
heres a screenshot of the driver info

I am having a problem where the windows test page prints fine up to a point then it cuts the test page and does not finish printing to the part where it tells you this is the end of the test page. I am also using restaurant pro and was trying to fix the problem where it does not print the scanner bar at the end of the receipt. the rest prints fine all it put is the on hold and table number where the bar code should be any suggestions?

I had the same problem, and after going through so many articles, I was getting the message but didn't know how to pass the escape codes. All you need to do is pass the ASCII code of the characters needed preceded by the ASCII code for Escape. In Delphi, we use Char(27) or #27. In my case I used ESC 105 Null and it worked. Here is my sample code, with Str being a TStrings class (A string array object) and the WriteTextFile being a procedure to write the Strings to LPT1 as plain text. Str.Add('*********END**********'); Str.Add(''); Str.Add(#10); Str.Add(#10); Str.Add(#27#105); WriteTextFile(dmMain.LPTFile, Str); any questions, holla me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org

TM 220a and TM 220b should come with auto cutters
You have to unscrew the metal tab under the printer, you will find two sets of DIP switches. upper one is DWS 1 and the lower one is DWS 2. On DWS 2 you need to have jumper #2 ON. this enables or activates the auto cutter on printers. Good luck...
