Hi is it possible to connect a laptop to a denon 700aedab for music playback

HI, very possible. Just follow this instruction:

All yo need to use for the connection is to get an RCA TO STEREO JACK HEAD (use the google image to see the type of cable).. Connect to denon 700aedab, make sure that the denon 700aedab is on either aux, tunner, video, etc. Those auxillary options on your denon 700aedab.

Connect the RCA into the aux of the denon 700aedab and connect the small jack head into the laptop ( where you plug in earphones),and play and enjoy your music.

If it does not play with aux try tunner, or video, one mustplay, and if it does ot play any, that means either the port of your laptop or the denon 700aedab port is faulty.

And don't forget to connect the speaker, because diffidently you will sure hear absolutely nothing with out the speaker.

Feel free to pass your comment .

Thanks for using fixya.

Can I replace plug on my Denon overear headphones

If the cord is broken at the plug, most standard sub-mini,mini phone plugs can be replaced by someone with a little skill at soldering ( a ohm meter also helps). Get a replacement stereo plug like the old one (often at Radio shack or any electronic parts store). Cut off the old plug and carefully strip off the outside insulation back about 1/4". Note there is 3 conductors. The webbing around the 2 wires goes to the outside back end of the plug. This is the ground or common wire for both sides. This wire may have a non conducting coating on it which needs to be stripped off before you solder it to the plug. There is 2 other wires in the cord. one (often red) is the right channel and the other is the left. You can check which channel is the right side with a meter or a AA battery. DON'T try to check with the earphones on your head!! The right 'hot' side will go to the tip of the plug and the left side goes to the ring next to the tip. Don't forget to strip off the insulation of the wires by gently scraping them with a sharp knife or razer blade. Also don't do like I sometimes do and forget to put the collar or back piece on the wire before you solder the wires on the plug. Hope this helps.

Analog output from digital input for Denon AVR 3803

On the Denon AVR-888 (and I presume others), you have to put the unit in "record" mode. This is covered under "Other Operations and Functions" in the manual. Here are the steps:
1. On the front of the unit, press the zone2/rec select button
2. Turn source select until "recout source" is displayed
3. Turn source select to choose the input source

Hope this helps.

Bought new AH-D2000 Denon headphones. Only used a week. One earphone came detached from the headset. Looked carefully, and discovered the screw came out. Have washer and screw, but the area to put the...

This is an ongoing problem with Denons, if only your screw fell out like mine, you have to do the following to screw it back in properly.

1. You have to remove the ear cups from the head band part.
2. To do (1), you have to remove the styrofoam ear **** (the soft leather part) by press down on the soft part and rotating it counter-clockwise.
3. With the ear **** removed, you will see a total of 8 screws. 4 are flat and on a higher plane, and other 4 are inside holes. Unscrew the 4 that are bigger and on the higher plane. This will remove the plastic round back from the ear ****.
4. With the big round plastic part removed, you will now have the space to properly screw in the fallen screw.
5. Make sure to use Lock-tite to hold the screw in place so it doesn't fall out again.
