Question about Refrigerators
We recently given a used KitchenAid KSRS25ILSS01. It was working/running when we went to pick it up, although it was empty and we didn't check the inside temp it 'felt' cool/cold. We brought it home, cleaned it up and plugged it no. Powered up but wouldn't cool. Determined the compressor wasn't coming on (it was before we brought it home). Replaced the start components. Compressor came on unit started to cool. Fast forward to 2 weeks later - neither the fridge or freezer have ever gotten quite cool enough. This unit has a digital temp setting, we have the freezer set at zero and fridge at 33 - both are the lowest settings. The freezer is about 8 degrees and the fridge is at 38-40. Nothing blocking any of the vents. The fan in the back of the unit next to the compressor is running. There is air flowing in both the fridge and freezer. There is no ice build up on the coils in the back of the freezer. Ideas? Thanks in advance!

it can be two things the refrgerator probably has a small refrigerant leak therefore it ices up, or the defrosting heater on the begining of the coil is faulty.

you need to replace the start components on the compressor, theres a relay that mounts on to the compressor that takes out the start winding after it starts the compressor up. You can also try whats called a three in one to try to start up the unit. Good Luck.
