My washer was acting like it had an unbalanced load, was making loud noises. No matter how I tried balancing the load it would still make these noises and bounce around on the pedastool. Today I noticed that the plastic around the grey rubber seal that u see when u open the door (where all the socks hide)is breaking into peices. I assume this is from the bouncing around the tub has been doing, I need to know what would have caused this, and how to replace that plastic thing;(not sure what its called). I am hoping its something I can fix myself, I cant afford to call a tech right now and my warranty has expired. I'd appreciate anything you may be able to help me with ..

That is a common occurrence with dryers such as this one. Even though it sounds bad, it is harmless. If it really bothers, you can re-balance the load and it should reduce the vibration.
If the washer is truly balances (check with a level to be sure) you might just have an unbalanced load. When filling your machine with laundry, think of the tank as a big circle divided into four pie slices. Make sure you fill each of the four slices evenly. This should help,
Most noises from a washing machine occur during the rinse or spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary. This will solve your problem.

It is likely that you have an unbalanced load. Try spinning the machine with only water in it. If there are no noises now, you will need to re-distribute the load. We clothes are heavy!!
