if it's a wifi, make sure the network you try to connect has internet access on it. and sometimes, wireless network is limited or has password,if it say limited, there are another users that already use the network, and you'll have to wait for another user to leave
if it's a modem, make sure that the sim card is still active

How to get wifi

First you need a WiFi wireless card or an USB WiFi adapter.
This will allow you to connect to a free WiFi hot spot location such as MacDonalds, Starbucks etc.
If you want to setup your own wireless network at home the you need a wireless router and then configure the wireless card/adapter in your computer with the router's wireless settings.

SETTING UP A BROADBAND CONNECTION
First you need to decide what type of broadband andInternet service you require and these are -
1. DSL that uses your existing telephone line.
2. Cable that uses a cable service and can include a cable TV service.
3. A wireless 3G network which uses the mobile/cell phone network and can beseparate or combine with your cell phone account
Note - Combined services generally offer discount pricing and may include amodem/wireless router.

If you use a wireless router with the DSL or Cable Internet service and yourlaptop has a wireless card then you can also connect to the Internet at WiFihot spots like McDonalds, Star Bucks, the Airport etc.
If you use the wireless 3G wireless broadband service, then you can access theInternet anywhere where your ISP has 3G wireless coverage. You need to checkthe service coverage area where you need Internet service.
Once you decide what type of broadband your require, then you need to checkwith the various Internet Service providers to see if they can offer and thecost of the various plans.
Note the download limits and the associated additional costs if you exceed themonthly download limits. Once you sign up with a Internet Service provider, their documentation will include setting up instructions and/or installationCD.

I have windows 7 home prem and cannot connect says detects strong signal but limited access

Most likely, the access point is not connected to an internet gateway whatever that is at your place.
and since access points does not provide DHCP service by default (handing out IP information to connected clients), you get the limited access message.
In short, make sure the access point is connected to the router because the router is the once responsible for providing the DHCP service.

Hardware requirements for FE065 card

There are no minimum requirements for most digital communication devices other than the operating system because a network card does not monopolize processor cycles, have access to RAM, or large drive space requirements beyond that of the driver. If the board has the ports to run the card, it has the ability to support the card with a driver. Some specialized cards and video cards as well do have minimum requirements, but only because of power consumption, the heat they produce, and the fact they communicate directly with the processor at much faster speeds. I/O devices don't have to be nearly that fast since the wireless signal and or copper connection, not architecture, are the limiting factors in the speeds you can operate.
