Question about Magnavox MWR20V6 DVD Recorder VCR Combo
I was recording a movie, but the recorder stopped after about 40 minutes. I didn't notice because I had turned the TV power off while recording, so when I powered the tv, that is what I seen an error message that it could not record on this DVD. My problem is I can't eject the DVD with the remote or the button on the recorder. After unplugging it, it will not even stay powered on, How can I get the DVD out?

Hi generally most dvd players have a small pin hole below the disk tray. It maybe covered by a dvd flap.
One you get to it just insert a pin and that will release the internal dvd player lock.

This model does not have a tuner so you will not be able to record off of tv unless you run your cable box or dish satellite's audio and video outputs through the dvd recorder's front or back inputs(L1 or L2) and record from those sources. Even then the cable box or satellite box would have to be tuned to the channel that you want to record. If you choose to do this you must go to your on screen menu and under setup/general settings/video/video input you will need to select the video input source(L1,rear or L2, front).

SOURCE: I Have A Magnavox DV220MW9
For recording purpose it is required to connect the Direct TV box to the VCR/DVD Combo unit and then to the TV using the analog Red, White and Yellow cables.
It is required to select the proper input to record in the Direct TV box and then press the Record button in the VCR/DVD Combo unit for recording the selected inputs.
To record using the Direct TV remote, it is required to program the Remote to control the other units. All the functions like recording may not work with the universal remotes. It is suggested to use the original remote for recording purpose.

Unplug player for 2 minutes, now press and hold power for 30 seconds and release, plug back in and try again, if no! it must be dismantled to recover the disc.
