Missing piece of silicone FitBit One case The small, firm piece of plastic with the fitbit logo at the end of the belt clip has been lost. Because it's no longer there, two small metal prongs are exposed and are somewhat sharp, making putting on, taking off and wearing my fitbit One uncomfortable. How can I get the silicone sleeve replaced?

SOURCE: I have tried recharging my fitbit by docking it

Welcome to Fixya

Pushing the hole on the gadget is like resetting the unit. This usually fixed all problems that you might encounter to the unit, just like a reset button on the computer. If you already did that and there is no response from the unit, the problem is more of a hardware/internal issue. You might need to contact the manufacturer for repair or call the store and ask for replacement if it is still under warranty.

Thankl you for using Fixya!

SOURCE: fitbit 4.14 flashing

This happened to my Fitbit, but it occurred because of putting it through the washing machine and the dryer. When I first took it off the shirt it was on, I couldn't get a response of any kind from the device no matter how long I held the button or put it on the docking base. I followed the Fitbit site instructions to put it in a cup of rice overnight. The next morning, I pressed the button and got nothing. Then I put it on the docking base and it flashed "Fitbit 4.14." Everywhere I looked online said this meant the device was damaged and would need replacement. My husband suggested I try to reset it while it was on the base, so I held the button down until, to our surprise, the battery symbol came up, which meant it was low on charge and was no charging. I let it charge for awhile, took it off the base, pressed the button, and amazingly I got my normal display and it rotated through all the options just as it should. There's no guarantee that this will work on every device, but try all of that before you give up. It just might work.

How do I reset the time on my fitbit alta

Theoretically the Fitbit should keep the time updated though syncing, but there are some things that throw it off. I would try these steps in this order. Check after each step to see if you have the correct time before doing the next step.
1. Re-sync your Alta to your phone/computer
2. Check your settings on your dashboard to make sure you have the correct time zone selected.
3a. If you sync to a phone make sure you do not need to update the app then try disconnecting and reconnecting the Fitbit (in your Bluetooth settings).
3b. If you are syncing to a computer, then try re-syncing your Fitbit. you might need uninstall/reinstall your software and make sure you are running the most recent version.
4. Try removing the Alta in the Fitbit app (should be under device settings) and then reconnecting it.

Hopefully one of those steps will get you on the right time, but if not, try resetting your Alta by doing the following:
  1. Plug in your Alta in a USB (computer, or adapter) as you normally would to charge it. It should begin charging.
  2. Press the button on your charging cable three times within eight seconds, briefly pausing between presses. (The button is on the end of the charging cable).
  3. Eight seconds after the first button press, you'll see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This means Alta is restarting.
  4. After you see the logo you can unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Unfortunately we can't. You need to contact the company or seller you purchased it from.

Or you can forge one. I happen to be very good at that! You just find the address, the logo and make one :>)

You can go to fitbit.com and see about repairs. The screen is not available on the market. You might end up replacing the whole unit.

My Charge Fitbit is not holding a charge. Yesterday it was dead within 1.5 hours. I have used the paperclip to try to reset without success. I am ready to throw in the towel so to speak.

You can put the software right, with a reset. Hardware errors and batteries won't change a bit when you use the reset button. When the battery is bad, and it looks that way, just return the Fitbit and ask for a new or new battery. It still should be under warranty. If the warranty is only 90 days for the battery, never again buy a Fitbit in the place you are living. In Europe electronics have a warranty of 24 months.
