SOURCE: HOTPOINT DOUBLE OVEN mODEL uy46 BOTTOM OVEN NOT WORKING CANNOT CL

Hi,
While it is flashing auto ,you will not get the oven to heat up.
You must press the timer buttons in the correcf sequence to cancel auto.Refer to user hand book.
If you suceed with this, and the oven still does not get hot, then the element has probably failed.

Hotpoint oven suddenly stopped working

Sounds like a control board problem. When the display goes out that is usually a dead board.

Hotpoint BD35 oven fan not working

The air you can hear blowing will be from the exterior cooling fan, and nothing to do with the main oven.
You need to check to seeif you have got a feed to the oven fan and element, the supply comes from the oven thermostat on the control panel.
Hope this helps.

Hotpoint sy36x display works but fan and element not working, connections seem ok

You need to ascertain that the components are getting a supply to them.
You will have to remove the oven from the housing, and remove the rear cover to check for supply to fan and element.

My hotpoint BD31 fan oven's temperature is about 30 degrees higher than the setting on the dial. What's the possible cause of this? Could it be that the fan mechanism isn't working?

If the fan was not working, then it would not get very hot at all as then fan forces the hot air around inside the oven.
Most manufactures allow a tolerance of plus or minus 10 degrees variation in temperature from the temp setting., so setting at 200 would give you 220 with 10 % plus, or 180 with 10 % minus, so yours is outside the acceptable range.
You can compensate by setting the thermostat 30 degees lower than normal, or the more expensive option, is to have a new thermostat fitted.
In my experience, compensating for the variation in temp, is a satisfactory solution.
However, if it gets worse, then your only course of action, is to replace the stat.

Trust this answers your question.

Display works but no lights on either oven and no fan

If the display is flashing, it sounds like the timer needs resetting
U need to refer to your instuctions on how to do this..
If it does it again once u have reset it, then I suspect that the oven element has blown..
Pls leave feedback.
Thanks.
