Turn up the mixer to make it louder when you are further from the mic.

SOURCE: External mic

No you can't !! This unit only has an audio out but the mic is built into it. You have to speak into the WBT210 when you connect to a phone call.

SOURCE: i have a shure ulx2-j1 transmitter the two wires

You will need to obtain a wiring diagram from the Shure site. Try here:http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/TechLibrary/index.htm The cartridge body of the mike screws on to the main body. The XLR jack can be removed by turning the flat headed screw clockwise through the access hole on the side of the mike at the bottom of the body. The windscreen also screws off the cartridge body on the mike but won't help you to access the wiring. Unless it is the wiring from the cartridge to the body or the wiring from the body to the jack you are better off having it professionally serviced.

SOURCE: we have 3 shure ulx2 beta 87a mics and they shut off after 2 bars

That is quite odd. The ULX series should get about 8 hours of battery life. It is possible that you got a bad batch of batteries. I have seen whole cases that are bad. Trying getting another brand of battery from a different store to see if you still get the same problem. If you still have the same problem, return it to Shure for repair.

Shure T2-CV Hand-held wireless mic - battery contacts are degraded and deformed. What do I need to replace the contacts or assembly?

Your best bet is to sontact Shure. They are always very helpful. Ask for the service department. These parts are readily available and are not expensive. Once you gain access to the internal board, changing the parts is trivial. I have ordered numerous sets of these in the past and keep some in stock as they fatigue after a while.

Hi. I use a beta 58 on live jobs. From time to time I have trouble with feedback. My back up singer use a standard sm 58 connected trough a tc.helicon voice harmonizer. That improved the sound of his mic,...

Hi
tip
I have a beta 58 and in the box their is a little paper how looks like a triangle and it show you at what angle you should put the monitor to avoid feedbacks! The mic is supercardoide so the blind spot is not in front of the mic but at 60 degrees precisely. If you find the sweet spot for the monitors, I can guaranty you won't have any feedback.
look in you beta58 box for the paper
Good luck

Vt 2008 mic

The V-Tech mic is actually a clone of the Shure SM-58. There's some discussion about how it is actually made (since V-Tech has no information on their website about their microphone line), but it looks to be made out of aluminum, vs. Shure's Zinc alloy. I believe it will sound the same, it just won't be as rugged as the SM-58.

(I know people who have used an old SM-58 as a hammer to pound stakes for their remote tent into the ground - and it still functioned afterward).
