Brown will be Live and Blue will be Neutral.

Wiring 4 way flat trailer plug. brown wire running

you got brown for running parking light
green for right turn/stop
yellow for left turn/stop
white for ground
reverse lights are only wired on a 6 or 7 plug connector
make sure you on the dark green for right turn stop not the light green
the light green is for reverse

Checked my spark plug today and found the tip to have browned of is this a problem with the mixture and how do I fix it?

I never heard of a brown plug. It should be black, blue, crud, or oil. The mix will turn the plug blue from being too rich, burning hot, and of course the black from soot or carbon, from being lean, Then the oil you don't want to see, but changing plugs is a must. I get great performance from Autolite plugs in my bike. 10 times better than champions. Clean the air filter while you are at it. Hope this helps.

I am getting lots of brown flakes in valves

The brown flakes are most likely rust from either the tank or associated metal piping. They could also be from the anode used in hot water tanks to combat electrolysis. Does the water have a Sulphur" or "rotten egg" smell to it? Are you on a well? There shouldn't be so much, as to plug up the valves. Turn off your heat source to the hot water tank. At the bottom of the tank is a faucet. Hook a garden hose to it, run it out side where the hose lays lower than the faucet if possible and flush the tank untill you have clear water again. You may want to do this a couple of times to be sure you get rid of any sediment in the tank. When you are done flushing, make sure you have the air out of the tank by opening a hot water faucet until it runs clear with no "spurts" of air. Shut the faucet off and turn the gas back on, light the pilot light and see if the problem persists. Also have your water tested. Sears does this for free -just take a sample in and they will tell you what the hardness is.

Gets hot, sizes up.

Clean carb. Pull apart and soak in carb cleaner. Blow dry with air nozzle. Make sure air filter is clean and plenty of air. Make sure spark plug is not gapped wrong and running to hot. Make sure oil/fuel mixture is accurate
