SOURCE: broken right boot toe buckle

Basically your only hope of getting it fixed is to go to a ski shop and talk to the tech. They'll either get you a replacement buckle from the factory or one that fixed and change it. This is not a simple repair you can do yourself.

Binding adjustment

There is (should be) a screw visible on each of the toe and heel pieces when looking down from directly above. That screw will adjust the height of the piece that clamps down on the top of the tabs on the heel and toe of your ski boots. For proper height measurement, use a credit card (or similar thickness card) and make sure you can somewhat freely slide the card side-to-side under your boot when it is in the binding and clamped down as when you are skiing. Too much play, and you will feel a sloppyness while skiing. Too little and you risk the binding not releasing properly caused by stiction. You can find demonstrations on YouTube also.

Rapid lace system problems.. uneven lace

Hi All,

I had an uneven problem with the DC Siloh '09s. Not sure if it will cover all makes and models but I will explain how I fixed it.

Key for the instructions:
Numbering the laces from top to bottom 1-8, outer side of the boot = little toe, innerside = big toe, and on the two laces that lock on either side of the boot (4 in total) toe and heel lace.

1. In order to make the laces even again you need to unlock the heelside lace on the outerside of your boot, this lace controls lace 3.
2. Pull lace 3 using creating slack now that it is unlocked
3. Pull the slack through lace 4 and then 5.
4. Once you have slack in lace 5 unlock the toe side lace on the inner side of your boot.
5. Holding that same lace pull the slack through the locking mechanism until you are happy with the balance.

For moving slackness from the inner to the outerside the opposite approach applies.

If it is not clear, reply and I'll try and take a photo or post a video or something.

Cheers

Mikey

MY BIKE SHIFTS HARD GOING INTO 5TH GEAR. THIS IS USING THE HEEL PART OF THE SHIFTING LEVER. IT SEEMS TO GO INTO GEAR EASIER WHEN LIFTING ON THE TOE PART OF LEVER. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS.

The heel and toe shifter is brutal on gear boxes, any motorcycle I have had over the years the heel shift was never used in fact we, we meaning all my friends would ether cut that hell part off or purchase the actual toe shifter and install it. Some of the new cruiser type bikes come with these heel and to shifters and you can hear the rider slamming the gears. The toe shifter is a much more precise feel. You can also feel if the shift has go into the gear or a faults neutral with the hell you slam through it, makes me shiver just thinking of it. A question to you (you don't need to answer it) is how many high performance motorcycles have you see with a heal/toe shifter, I would hope none

Does anyone know hot increase dpi on Fuji Finepix s5800?

This is an old posting but let me add my words here.
The bigger the recorded pixels the better the print quality becomes small numbers will be able to record more pictures to a memory card but the quality may only be good enough for internet use.

The picture Quality on your camera is retained even when you shut the camera off.
I'm including two diagrams the second one is pretty impressive and I think will make a print in the 20x24 inch range
Set one

tri3mast_36.jpg

Set two
tri3mast_37.jpg
3264x2448 producing a 10x12 double the size on a Canon, Fuji or Nordica print lab processing lab will produce a print 20x24.

Hope this was a help

Snowboard boots with reduced length

You may also want to look at how you are setting up your bindings. I have a US 11 foot (29 cm) and with my bindings set correctly have never had any issues with toe or heal drag.

The best way to set up your bindings it to take them off, remove the mounting screws, keep the base plates in and fit your boots into your bindings with the straps still undone. Then, with the board on the floor, position the binding at the angle you like (roughly) and look to see when the toe and heel over lap is even or if you are like me pull the bindings back slightly so that you have little or no toe drag and just little heel drag. It works a treat and I have done this for over a hundred customers over the years.
