The fill valve will not shut off in the toilet tank. Water continues to run out of the overflow tube of the valve into the overflow tube of the toilet., even after the valve has been adjusted.

After flushing the toilet, water still fills the tank till then the shuts off valve reaches a certain level. When the shuts off valve reach the level it disconnect the water connection to the tank and the filling process of the tank shuts off.

So, if your fill valve didn't shut off then maybe there's a problem with the shuts off valve, open the fill valve and fix it. If you can't fix it call a plumber for it.

Why wont my toilet shut off after flushing?

Sounds like your float may need to be repositioned. Try bending the rod that supports the float so the float is further down in the tank. If this doesn't work then you need to buy a replacement kit for the shut off assembly. It is all one piece and includes the float and is easy to replace.

2005 jeep liberty wont take gas

When you replaced the tank, did you check or replace the tank filler neck hose or the vent hose? That is where the issue is.

Fill-trol what does do on the heating system?

How the Amtrol FILL-TROL(c) Expansion Tank System Works:
Water enters the FILL-TROL valve, pushing open the check valve, and flows into the heating system. The automatic shut-off valve is kept open by the diaphragm pressing against the pressure plate, raising the stem of the fill gate, which compresses the automatic shut-off valve spring. When the heating system reaches fill pressure, the tank's diaphragm depresses, and the automatic shut-off valve is closed.

Whenever system pressure falls below 12 psig, the automatic shut-off valve is pressed open by the diaphragm. Make-up water flows into the system to restore pressure.

The AMTROL FILL-TROL(c) system consists of a specially adapted EXTROL pre-pressurized, diaphragm-type expansion tank, and the FILL-TROL, a specially designed, automatic, fill valve.
  • Provides accurate system make up
  • Eliminates need for a separate, automatic fill valve
  • Fully adjustable up to a maximum working pressure of 100 psig
  • Factory pre-charged; tank pressure controls system fill

If you have this problem only when you fill your tank I would check the fuel filter first. The fuel pump will also give you problems after filling the tank due to the extra load.

Gas wont go in takes it slow ?the gas pump shuts off like the tank is slow.

the fuel return hose is kinked or plugged up. every filler neck has a secondary vent tube attached to the tank for fast fill ups. If it is slow in filling have that vent tube inspected

The fuel continues to spash up and shut offv the fuel pump which makes it a very long process to fill up the tank.

i had an old f 150 that did that so i removed the fill pipe and inside is a smaller vent tube to let air out as your filling it with fuel, i removed the smaller tube and it works great lol ,,, for some reason some of them are either positioned wrong or the tube may be to long and it wont let the air up the fill pipe, but ya its a big pain if its cold outside and you have to stand there for half a day to fill your tank

We have a kia sportage that wont take gas when filling. it sprays back at u. but tank not full

have someone check the vent valve and hose, a common problem is spiders go inside the vent hose and make a web nest, this blocks the system. so when filling the tank the air in the tank cant be release and so pump shut off and fuel sparys out, take a look , bet youll find a spiders nest.

Tank does not fill to proper psi. tank fills to 60 psi motor keeps running but wont fill to 150 that its supposed too. when i shut off compressor no air leaking????

strip the cyclinder off and inspect the valves if closing and opening also check to make sure you dont have a blown head gasket also on the tank from the pipe from the pump unit is a gold valve you need to open the end off this valve with the tank drained and turn the ruber around with the spring inside and replace this if still doesnt work get back to me bud

2004 hyundai accent. trouble filling gas tank

I have a 2005 Hyundai Accent, It is not possible to fill the tank if you are letting the petrol pump run at full speed.Trying to fill up quickly it will only build up pressure and cut off. Next time you fill up just pull the petrol pump handle half way, it will take longer to fill but you wont get the blow back. Modern petrol pumps are getting quicker all the time.Hope this helps you.
