M hoover 550 is not pumping water in

No it is not. Capactors have nothing to do with inlet of water. Either the tap is off or the inlet valve is faulty. By the way it does not pump water in. It opens a valve & water just flows in under pressure from the tap

HI We have a Hoover 700LD washing machine that wont fill or wash. Will drain and spin. Any ideas? thanks

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to check your water inlet valve and make sure it is not defective. Check your water pump and make sure it is working right. The pump pumps the water into the washer.

Sounds like the water pump is not running either from power lack or defective pump motor.

Hoover washing machine (se230).. after washing, water still remains with water. have clean the washer...

Time to check the water pump action and it's associated hoses. Look for kinked or collapsed hoses and check that the drain from the tub to the pump will pass water. If the pump doesn't run, check for power to it when it is supposed to be running, and verify that it is free to turn. There may be something jamming the impeller.

Hoover rug cleaner is leaking water profusley from tank at the underside of equioment.

call hoover with your model and serial number ...this is a known problem with these and Hoover is replacing the tanks for free on defective units...you should have a new tank in about 7 days
oh and dont forget to flush out your solution pump regularly by emptying the solution and filing it with water then spray for about 3 min into a sink ...these pumps are known to lock up from soap residue when it dries..the pump is about $50 plus labor

Hoover steamvac won't spray water/cleaning solution

Clogging of the pump that sprays water/cleaning solution is very common in Hoover and Bissell Steam Vacs. Try running a cycle of 1part vinegar or CLR to 3 parts warm, distilled water through the vacuum pumps. The heads get clogged with soap and the water pumps get clogged at the opening of the flash heater due to minerals in hard water. If you want to extend the life of your steam vac, don't use the heater unless you are using distilled water. This can get expensive, so I recommend not using the heater.

I have an S6254 001 Hoover jet & wash and have just taken the pump apart to free sticking parts. To get into the top you have to prise off the handle cover to get to 2 screws, unscrew them and the rest is fairly straight forward.
