Re: A Big Problem

If you're talking about "demo mode", this is from the manual:

Demo Mode
This TV has a demo mode for use in retail stores. To turn the demo mode On/Off, press the following buttons in sequence:
MENU, 0, QV, 0

Hope it helps.

Toshiba big screen tv wont quit streeming menu options

A model number would assist me in helping but here is a possible reason/s:

If menu keeps popping up may be a defective menu button on the set.

If set is actually going thru a "Demo" mode showing all features that demo has been turned on and needs to be shut off---usually in most sets it is somewhere in the setup or options menu.

Image too big for screen

I have the same tv.
On your remote push menu, then go to settings, and then screen. Put the auto wide to on. And keep the picture mode on normal, not the zoom or wide zoom. If its in HD it will fit the screen. If its not in HD it will crop the sides. This worked for me, hope it works out.

How do I change the TV to AUX mode in order to play DVD's or VHS's?

To change inputs on the TV, 90% of the time, it is done on the TV's remote control. Look for a marked button; 'video' or input. Press button to desired input. Other TV's have device/input buttons and will display on the TV's screen, scroll up or down, using the arrow buttons, once on desired input press the 'enter button.
GOOD LUCK, big IRISH. Come back with model number and I can be more particular, or e-mail me at
Good Luck again.

Menu- Setup- V. Position + (from either the front panel or remote) until more of the lower picture is visible. If the picture size is entirely too big, you'll need to change your aspect style. This model will only allow you to change the aspect style if it is not in 1080i mode. However, most newer HD converter boxes allow this feature. I would check the converter manual.

Widescreen thinks it's a big screen

Information as to the type of signal input is needed to resolve this problem. Does it appear in zoom mode when playing a dvd, or just in catv mode? Some times an HD cable box must be reset to a particular aspect ratio. This can be done by reading the owners manual of the cable box manufacturer. Scrivitron
