Oki error 929

Remove the toner waste bottle, clean out the whole box and duct work. While there clean out the whole unit. Restart the unit by unplugging it and hopefully it will be ok. Sometimes the power board goes but hope for the best.

HELLO. My oki c9600 gives me an error code 145. I Allready replaced the magenta id unit But the error is still on. Can somebody give me a hint? Regards from germany

Was ist los, Kamerad?
An error was detected with the magenta toner supply mechanism sensor; if rebooting the machine does not improve the symptom, you need to check the device. This does not necessarily mean that the toner cartridge is defective nor empty but that its sensor is not detecting it. Use a clean, dry Q-Tip (cotton swab on a stick) to clear toner dust from the gold contacts.

Reset waste toner count

The only ways to reset the count:
1: replace the waste toner bottle with a brand new one.
2: thoroughly clean all the waste toner out of the bottle(requires disassembly and reassembly - making sure you get all the springs and parts back in right)
The waste toner bottle is relatively inexpensive, so I would just recommend doing that. Cleaning out the bottle is extremely messy.

Indication is INK TONER WASTE BOX FULL Not sure what to do, if any thing? Al

You need to replace the waste toner collection bottle. The waste toner bottle has to be replaced every 30,000 Letter pages on average. Order part number 42869401. The directions will come with the replacement unit. Remove and dispose of the old waste toner carefully.

Manuals for the C9600 series printers are available from OkiData: http://my.okidata.com/PP-C9600hdn.nsf?opendatabase . You can order the waste toner bottle for $14 from OKI here: http://esales.okidata.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=5001&pcount=1&Product_Id=1102864 . Other online vendors have the part as well.

I hope this helps.

929 fatal error on my oki 9600 printer

This is a very unusual error. 929 refers to the waste toner motor not running properly. Remove the waste toner bottle and put a hoover to the outlet to the bottle in case the toner is hard and blocking the exit of toner into the bottle.
