I have G5 PPC mac tower - power light is on, but the unit will not turn on. No fans are running. Just a bright white light on the power button.

First if side door or plastic shield is off, fans won't come on and unit won't start. Fans only run when unit is running hard and that's not always. Back to your original issue - not running, couple of things to try - first being side door and latch on back, make sure both are closed. Try restarting by holding start button on front of tower. If that don't cure it, disconnect power lead in rear for about 30 secs then try to restart.

I hear the audio on my Mac Laptop but I can't see my screen or video.

Hook up to an external monitor and if you can see. If you can see on the external monitor, then it's most likely your inverter or back light that has gone bad on your laptop screen. Inverters can be replaced fairly easily, but replacing a back light is a and most people will just replace the whole screen rather than mess with the back light since you got to do some major surgery and de-soldering to get to it.

Pinstripe cinema display flickers on momentarily then goes black. Image comes back for a split second while when power light glows steadily then goes away while power light flickers. this is a 22"...

when the screen is black and the power light is steadly lit, shine a flash light at the screen. if you can see something, the inverter board is bad and the back light cannot turn on. if the power light flickers, reseat the power plug and put your ear to the back of the monitor where the power plug is. if you hear a buzzing or any high pitched noises; the power supply is bad. use the macufactures warranty for repairs.

Hi sir/ Mm

look closely at the screen. You might have to change the lighting or shine a powerful light from the back of the screen, through the Apple logo. If you see a dim image, your problem is either with a bad "inverter" board, a bad "CCFL" light (the bulb that lights the screen), or with the logicboard itself. check back for more info if this is happening.
