  2. Download a manual update of the malwarebytes database and install.
  3. Then open "Malwarbytes Antimalware" program and perform a Quick Scan to remove viruses and malware.

Windows security center doesn't start

My suggestion is to use Malwarebytes; a far better security program that updates daily when you computer is active. The good thing about MALWAREBYTES is it can check Incoming and Outgoing intrusion. You can pay for the program or Use it FREE non-commercial use. Http://:Malwarebytes.com

Windows Security Center alert ?

The fake Windows Security Center is a virus that invades a computer and threatens the user that his computer is infected with multiple viruses. Although this "tool" looks legitimate, it is actually rogue malware. It can be time-consuming to remove this fake Windows Security Center from your computer, but you can do it for free.

Download and install a legitimate free anti-malware program, such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (malwarebytes.org), on your computer. Restart your computer and hold down the "F8" key for a few seconds before the Windows logo appears to start the computer in safe mode. Run the anti-malware program and allow it to perform a full scan of your system. This may take hours, depending on a number of factors, but allow the anti-malware software to do its job so that you will be able to fully remove fake Windows Security Center from your computer. http://www.malwarebytes.org/ rather than pay for it http://corbitek-antimalware.soft32.com/free-download Free reliable antimalware solution with realtime protection and automatic update Click to put a check mark next to all of the malware files detected in the scan and click "Delete." Download and install CCleaner (piriform.com/ccleaner). http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner This free program will scan and clean out all temporary files on your computer. Run the program, and when it finishes, your computer should be free from the fake Windows Security Center. Restart your computer to exit safe mode.

Windows security center can't be started and when i turn it on in the security center to automatic, it's solved but after a minute, it seems disabled agai. please help me! are this sort kind of viruses?

Windows security center monitors checks if you have a firewall and anti-virus solution and also checks if automatic updates are on. Below is a screen capture of what it should look like, if it is titled different or looks quite different except for options being off instead of on you have a bug.

I have removed plenty of bugs from computers with users who use lots of Facebook apps.

If your anti-virus software does not find anything try these steps.

Run system restore and pick a restore point before problem started.
If system not working (which is likely if you've got a bug) you will need to restart in "Safe mode" to do that keep hitting F8 when computer restarts

Once restored run windows update, update antivirus definitions (if you don't have one microsoft have a free one "microsoft security essentials") and then run the windows Malicious removal tool. To this go to start menu select run and enter "mrt" and hit enter do a full scan.

If security center still not working go to control panel - Administrative Tools > open services. Find the security center service double click to bring up properties check service status; If not "Started" then change startup type to manual then press start button and then exit out.

Window sercurity say's there's no anti-virus running.

If you are positive you have any anti virus installed, you can disable the notification.

Click Start, then go to Control Panel. In Control Panel, open Security Center.

On the left hand side of the window, click " Change the way security center alerts me"

Uncheck Virus Protection and click OK.

Why does windows security center show that my anti virus isn't working when it is. I don't have a green light.

What OS and what Anti Virus program are you running?
The OS will recognize some AV products and not others. You can tell the Operating system you will monitor the Anti-Virus software yourself.

How do i turn off Kaspersky lab to install 2009 security?

Windows Security center is not really useful, and is known to have issues sometimes detecting anti-viruses. Kaspersky suggests that you disable notifications.

To do this,

1. Click Start and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click Security Center.

3. In the Security Center, under Resources, click Change the way Security Center alerts me.

4. In the Alert Settings dialog box, clear the Virus Protection check box, and then click OK. Thanks for using fixya....
