Im changing the spring in the guard of our 6"ridgid jointer it seems like there is a bend in the spring that fits thru a hole in the top plate??the manual does not show this process can you...

I'm not at the shop to look at mine, but they're all pretty much the same. It definitely hooks through the hole in the guard itself, and also in my case (a powermatic) to short length of grip chain. It seems to me there's a better way to hook the spring on, so that it rides a little above the surface of the jointer when in play, and doesn't score a path across the bed as the guard moves back and forth. But with a little trial and error you have no doubt already long since figured this out.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Delta jointer, where do i find the wrench to loosen the nuts for the blade

go to Dewaltservicenet.com and with your model number you can download a schematic for this tool and also order the parts online. I tried finding them but there are too many jointers listed in the Delta category.

How do i detach the faceplate of a pioneer deh-p3700mp car stereo?

Normally it is the button on the top left or bottm right of faceplate. it will spring the faceplate out at an angle, then you just pull off.

Jensen MP5720 radio/faceplate connector is broken or missing spring

I was always afraid this might happen to me so I never removed the faceplate from the radio. This strategy worked fine for two years until two weeks ago. I didn't lock my car because of the freezing rain and somebody stole my faceplate and remote. Anyway I ordered a replacement radio from Amazon last week so I don't have rewire a new one. The replacement cost me $100. I don't really need the rest of the radio so make an offer, my email is cs1713@sbcglobal.net

Masonry Jointer Usage

While the final effects of a stone or concrete wall are stunning, the work to make it beautiful is time-consuming and difficult. Tools are very important in masonry work. Having the right tools for a certain job make all the difference. Jointers come in many different sizes and shapes. Learn the various types and how to use them and you can make quick work of a difficult task. Use an e-jointer for narrower spaces between the stones. There is no handle on the e-jointer, making it easier to smooth and shape the joints between the stones. Whenever your hand is closer to the surface, you can exert more control. Get a bead jointer for raised masonry bricks. These jointers come in two sizes, 1/4-inch by 5/16-inch and 3/8-inch by 1/2-inch. They are small, strong, simple tools that can chip off the excess of a joint that is sticking up off the brink. You do not want to make a deep joint between raised bricks. Change your joint tool to a brick masonry mortar joint raker tool if you are making your project from rougher materials, such as adobe brick or split stone. This tool has many more grooves, which will fit in various sized joints. Turn it on the end for narrow joints and use the curved notch for more intricate patterns between the stones. Switch to a grapevine mortar jointer for very clean lines between the bricks. This tool is used primarily for a colonial look, which is even and measured. Your can get this jointer with a wooden handle for a more even grip.

Planer or Jointer

If I had to pick, I would get the planer first. That way you can at least get your lumber pretty darn close to flat and parallel. Furthermore you can resize your lumber when necessary. But that’s just my opinion.

You need to bleed the brakes every time you change the brake pads. In order to do this correctly, you need 1 more person with you to press on the brake pedal while you bleed the system, getting rid of the air in the lines is a top priority after a change. And yes, it's a DOT-3 brake fluid.

HELP ME JVC GEEKS! Spring problem keeping faceplate on....

this might seem ridiculous but try heating up a needle that is no more then half the size of the nub and sticking it in the dead centre of the nub, once its cooled down cut off however much of the needle you have to and see if that works, an even more ghetto way of fixing it would be shoving a small straw over the nub to extend it.
good luck
