SOURCE: N64 works but the Picture has loads of static

It sounds like it's most likely a problem with the AV cord you're using to connect to the TV or the ports on the TV where you plug it in. If you can, borrow a friend's AV cable and see if it works, if not then it's either a technical problem elsewhere or it is not hooked up correctly... Also make sure the TV is set to the correct input (Video 1, Video 2, channel 3, etc.)

SOURCE: N64

The clean the connectors on the cartridges and game deck before plugging it in and turning on the deck.
If this doesn't work, the cable is broken and will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Is my n64 broken?

You might have a dead N64 bro. Alot of quality games on that system too.

You can usually find them on Ebay for fairly cheap

SOURCE: N64 light comes on, but nothing comes on screen

Make sure that the game you are trying to play is free of dust and other obstructions.  I know that the label on the back of the game says that you should never blow on the edge connector, but it doesn't harm the game. (Trust me I've been cleaning the connectors for years now, and it hasn't been damaged.  After you throughly rid the game of dust, do the same with the edge connector on the N64.  Simply hold the opening open and blow the dust out.  This should work.   Please give feedback!! Hope this helps!!

2 n64's power on but no sound or video

the contacts that are in the n64 are probably burnt out in the back or the system is not reading the starter/expansion pak cuz mine did the same thing when the starter/expansion pak slot stopped reading.

I bought a new AV cable for my nintendo 64 off ebay and when i plugged it in the brightness of my games were really bright

Well it could be because HDTV was not made the time N64 cameout so you would have to use a blue plug for it to work instead of the traditional av cables.

Im triyng to hookup my n64 and its not playing on the screen? what do i do

Switch through the inputs to find the one that matches where you plugged in the AV cables of the N64. Try resetting your N64 or put in a different game. If that doesn't work, try to plug in the N64 into a different television.

I've plugged in the red, white, and yellow cables to my TV, and I'm getting sound but no picture. I've plugged in the cables the same way I successfully do for my Wii, but still get no picture. PLEASE...

There is probably a short in your av jacks somewhere, try going to a pawn shop or resale shop and getting some used av jacks off of another N64.

My Tv doesn't display the N64 game. No sounds come out also.

What you need to do is, first check the tv av input is working, use a dvd player or any other device with the red, white and yellow plugs.
If it works, the problem may be the nintendo AV cable, they are cheap and worth the few bucks to re live all those nostalgic game moments. If replaceing the AV cable doesnt work, check all the solder joints around the AV socket on the N64 main board. I hope this helps. Good luck.

How do i connect and use a Nintento 64 with a panasonic TX-26LXD60. I know it won't work with aerial connect as with my old tv. And HDMI cable is not correct size. I have a cable that connects to Nintento...

try the av cable with the 64 on another older tv... if the picture comes up, then you probably wont be able to use the n64 on your new tv... if the picture dosnt come up, then there is a problem with your cable...
