SOURCE: In normal mode PC hangs due to spies or viruses.

When you are restarting the PC - Press F8 Key till you get the options to Boot
Choose Last Known Good Configuration and load windows
Once you have logged into your PC - try to MSCONFIG

If that does not work, Open Task Manager ( CTRL + ALT + DEL ) key and Click on Services Tab. Click the Services Button below. and it should let you open SERVICES.MSC

Disable all the Antivirus software installed ( double click on the software name and under Startup type - choose Disable )
Also Disable the Windows Installer

Try to access or Download some Virus program to Run or Clean.

How do I get rid of a yellow brightness box that has come up in the middle of the desktop and won't move

Step 1: I would suggest you to boot in safe mode with networking and check if you face the same issue. To boot into safe mode refer to the link
provided below: a)Restart the computer. b)Start tapping the F8 key.
c)You will get advanced boot option window. d)Select the option “Safe mode with networking”
Step 2: Put the computer in clean boot and check to see if the issue still persists. Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to normal startup. If the issue doesn’t persists when the Computer is in clean boot or while in the Safe Mode with Networking, then the issue is confirmed to be caused by a certain non- Microsoft applications.
Method 2: This issue might be caused due to viruses. I suggest that you scan your computer from Microsoft Safety Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.

Keyboard jumps back when i'm typing ne56r10u

Run an anti-virus scan. This usually caused by a virus.

Or you can go to safe mode.. Restart your computer and tap F8. Choose safe mode using your arrow keys and press enter. Once you are inside safe mode, try typing and check if the problem is still there. If no problem is detected, then do a system restore to restore your computer to a known good state.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

Select a restore point. Make sure that the date is when your computer was not acting strange. Launch the restore and let it finish. Check after the restoration.

If it doesn't work, please drop me a line.

I hope this helps!

Whenever I do a full system scan for viruses with system shield, computer says the program has stopped working and will close. What does this mean and how do i fix it?

The computer may have been infected before installation of the anti-virus software. You should try booting into Safe Mode and running the scanner from there. In order to get to safe mode, properly shut down your computer. Turn the power back on and tap the F8 key. This will get you to a boot selection screen. Select Safe Mode with Networking and the computer will boot into safe mode with the ability to get online. Then run the virus scanner.
I highly suggest downloading TDSSKiller from Kaspersky, as well. This is a rootkit detection and removal program. You can get that program here, and that will detect any malicious software on the computer that may not be picked up by any antivirus.

I have a virus and need to fix. 1. How do I

reboot the computer and tap the F8 every second or two to get to safe mode (click here for details).
Not sure what virus you have, but I just had to remove "Security Tools" from a pc. I booted into Safe mode and ran MalwareBytes.
If you don't have virus protection download and install Windows Defender and Avast - both are free.

Try backing up your important files if you have not been doing so and then format your hard disk. If you are using Windows vista, you can do a restore using RECOVERY MANAGER through clicking ALL programs

Have you tried to boot up in safe mode? you maybe able to do something from there. Like go to msconfig and the start up and take the check mark out of the program that is wacking you. Then run an antivirus program to detect and remove the nasty.

Check to see if AVG has the option to scan the computer before windows start. I would also download and install a Spyware Scanner and run it. Usually when you are running a Spyware scan it will also pick up some of the Trojans and help your virus scanner detect and clean more viruses. I personally use SuperAntispyware ( www.superanitspyware.com) and SpyBot ( www.safer-networking.org/ ). Do a full scan and delete everything that if finds. If for some reason you are still having this issue, try restarting your computer into safe mode ( by pressing F8 when computer is booting up) and scanning every in safe mode.

Hope this helps.

If you have a virus you can not delete or if your system will not boot up correctly and you suspect a virus is the problem, a recommended solution is to start your computer in safe mode and run a virus scan. By running your computer in safe mode, non-essential processes do not start and non-core components are disabled. In other words, only the minimum necessary programs will load. Tough to remove viruses, spyware and other malware usually have no chance to run and disrupt your system and can more easily be removed.
**To run a virus scan in safe mode, you must have active anti virus software installed on your computer.
To run a virus scan in safe mode, follow these steps:
  1. If your computer is on, shut it down
  2. Power on your computer
  3. Immediately after you power on your computer, repeatedly press the [F8] key (about once per second)
  4. In the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen, use the arrows to select Safe Mode and presss [Enter]
  5. Select your current operating system and press [Enter]
  6. Select the user you would like to login under (if applicable)
  7. When your system finishes booting, click the Start button on your task bar
  8. Move your cursor over All Programs and navigate to your anti virus program
  9. Click on your antiv virus program to run it and follow the anti virus program’s normal steps to run a virus scan
  10. After the virus scan is complete, Delete all detected viruses
  11. Close out of your anti virus software
  12. Restart your computer (it should start in normal mode)
