My icemaker stopped working but the water on the door still works what can the problem be model number 106.51552104

02fd7a9b-9a65-43a6-ae76-6bf68d211304.jpgThanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. Here is a list of those parts here=> Kenmore Refrigerator Model 106.51552104 Ice Maker Parts and if need you may be able to find a complete ice maker replacement by asking. Most people don't like replacing ice maker parts. I am here should you have questions or comments, Sea Breeze

Have small commercial kenmore ice maker-model 106 89583700. Replaced pump-now no ice is forming. Cleaning light stays on-won't go off. Any suggestions?

Water Inlet Valve

Your icemaker's water inlet valve could be filled with ice. If it is, simply thaw the its water tube with a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Be careful to not melt any plastic parts with the blow dryer.

An icemaker's water inlet valve has a filtering screen to block minerals and other debris from entering into your ice cubes. It is possible that the water inlet valve's screen is blocked, and not allowing any water through to make ice. Clean out any built up debris you find. You should be able to pop the screen out of place with a screwdriver and then put it back in place with the screwdriver again once it is cleaned.

Alternatively, the water inlet valve itself may have become defective. You will have to test it. If the test proves the valve is defective, replace it.

if you need more info post it and I'll see if I can locate more

Replace icmaker on kenmore

Unplug refrigerator. Take a moment to examine how the icemaker is positioned in the freezer compartment prior to proceeding (e.g.: water inlet tubing coming into the icemaker, etc.). Remove or loosen (where applicalble) screws holding icemaker. Unplug icemaker's wire harness connection. install new icemaker by reversing the screws harness, etc. Make certain that the new icemaker is in the "on" position. Plug the refrigerator in. Allow approximately 6 to 8 hours (some models take fewer or longer timeframe) for ice production.

My Kenmore side by side refrigerator model 106.5686*601 is leaking water from the ice maker inside the freezer.

Icemaker leaks are common and cannot always be solved. May need a new Icemaker. Ofter you can obtain a kit from Lowes (use a Whirlpool kit.)

Icemaker freezing ok but not dumping ice

Depending on the refrigerators model number the ice maker has a thermostat inside that begins the cycle of about six processes in to one revolution. If the thermostat is defective the ice maker will do as you explained. So the thermostat must be replaced. Hope that was helpful and if you can find your Kenmore model number that will look like this for example 213.54698 I will be able to tell you the replacement part number. Thank, Sea Breeze

We have a Kenmore model 795.77563600 where the ice maker has frozen up and is not making ice. How do I clear it?

The defrost thermostat or the heating element under the icemaker are defective. If you have a way to test it I can assist you. Like a multimeter or OHM meter. But sometimes the replacement of parts is more expensive than the ice maker itself. I will help you through this if you like, Thanks, Sea Breeze
