If its stamped "metal" it usually means something other than gold or silver - such as chrome. It could mean that the outer portion on the back of your watch is 14/k but the inside layer is something else. If that were the case then I am unsure if advertising the watch to be 14k is actually correct or not? Try pulling up the specs or manual that should have come with that watch on line and see what it says about what it is made of?
