SOURCE: reciever only allows 2 channels(speakers) at a time.

Two solutions:
1. make sure you are sending a 5.1 signal to the receiver (my DVD player was configured to only send stereo even if I picked the 5.1 soundtrack, i had to fix that). Read the manual to see the indicator lights that would light up if you are sending a DTS signal or Dolby Digital.
2. Use the 'surround modes' to at least get pseudo surround

Series the speakers, they may not get as much power as you would like, but your receiver will last longer.

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-1015TX 7.1 Receiver AMP ERROR I just

I would recommend checking your speakers polarity ( + on the + - on the - ). Also check to make sure the wires are not touching each other where they connect to the speaker or amp. Also check your input connections if you are not using HDMI or Optical. Worst case is you have to send it in to get serviced. Hope this helps

SOURCE: Hi, I have just bought

Wow, lacks depth. THAT is a subjective assessment if ever there was one. Speaker placement and environment play a huge part in it.

Have you run through all of the prescribed delay and volume settings using the AVR's manual? I can't find a manual for this puppy but you'll probably notice there is no control explicitly marked for 'depth'.

I never listen to stereo music in stereo. Instead I choose one of the many DSP modes, even different ones for any given recording.

Bi-wiring. The New Millenium's green magic marker. What does that really accomplish beside getting you to spend twice as much on speaker cable?

Can you have just 2 channel by hooking up to right & left front speaker posts on 5.1 surround

short answer.....no. If you hook more than one speaker up to a single channel, it will lower the impedence and will damage the amp. You can hook up multiple speakers by using a speaker switch box between the speakers and the amp. This will match the impedence and should keep the amp from blowing.

I have a mtx audio thunder 4202 amp is it just meant to use for sub woofer or can it be used for front speakers as well ? is it 2 or 4 channel and what does that men?

yes, the amp can be used fof full range speakers. to use it a s such, the amp's "crossover" switch must be set to "off" (could also be labeled as "full-range" or "defeat").

the amp is 2 channel. 4 channel is for surround sound or to have independent front and rear channels/volumes. this 2 channel amp will support 4 speakers, but you wont be able to balance from front to back- the front and back speakers will be at the same volume all the time if both are hooked up to the amp.

I have 1 center channel pre-out on back of my kenwood receiver. how do i hook it to the inputs on onkyo m-282 amp and then to center channel speaker?

Unfortunately can't connect it that way. The pre out is only meant to go directly into an amplifier that has all of the same inputs (front/rear, center and surround), not a standard receiver. (Pre amp to amp only, not pre amp to receiver) If your Onkyo doesn't have all the same inputs as your Kenwood preamp has outputs you will just use your standard left/right outputs from the Kenwood to your Onkyo input (CD, Tape, Phono,DVD etc) then use the outputs (front/rear, center and surround) from your Onkyo receiver and connect directly to your speakers..

How do i bi amp sx 1250 to get both channels of each side to work together

you are actually not bi-amping the unit, you are bridging the amp. this really only works as long as all channels produce equal power. next the bad news is that typically home stereo amps are not wired internally to bridge channels.

bi-amping a speaker refers to connecting on channel to the highs and on channel to the lows. the receiver would need to be be able to process the outputs via a crossover network to split the frequency range in half so the appropriate frequencies went to the correct speaker.

Speaker connection from Denon AVR 2105 to Wharfedale suround

The spkrs sound like they are bi-amp spkrs, meaning you have multiple terminals on the backs of each spkr, the jumpers on the spkrs should be connected as such. Now you just connect the spkrs according to the Denon spkr conection diagram. Do not use the surround back unless you have 6 or 7 pair of spkrs

Back speaker sound

Why would you only hook up one speaker for the rear channel? in 7 channel stereo, all speakers have 100% signal sent to them as "stereo" in Dolby digital, rear speakers are for "effects" not dialog. like a plane flying past you or a car driving by, that's when you hear a rear speaker. It also needs to be placed behind you, not next to you or in front of you. Unless you are using zone 2 & 3 the receiver's surround back will work. if you only have left, right, center, sub & rear; the rear speakers should go to surround speakers not surround back. If you still have questions, post a comment and I can explain further. Hope this helps
