try pulling out the power plug to the monitor and then plug back in and turn on monitor.
I am assuming you plugged the DVI cable back in to the correct port on the monitor and Mac Pro.

Can not get the mac pro osx 10 5 8 to start with the utility disk or with regular start up my on pilot lite keeps blinking

Put the Mac install disk back in. Try pressing command-option-escape to force quit. If nothing happens, then press command-control-power to force a restart. If that doesn't work, press and hold the power button for five seconds or so until the computer shuts down. Power up the computer again, and hold the option key so you can select the instal disc for startup. Run Disk Utility again. Sometimes you get a tangled file reference that requires several tries to undo - this could be calling the sleep routine instead of what it's supposed to do.

I had this same problem too. You have to reboot your mac. Either that or the cable you got for it is wrong. Some cables on ebay look identical to the ones that work, but they don't work. Give the rebooting a try and make sure all the cables are tight, especially the dvi to hdmi converter cable.

The blue light on my Maxtor is blinking really fast and my Mac no longer recognizes the connection. How can I fix this?

Have you tried restarting your Mac (with the Drive still connected)?

Otherwise try:

1. Disconnect the USB cable from your Mac.
2. Restart your Mac.
3. Reconnect the USB cable to a different USB port on your Mac (like the keyboard USB port for example).

See how you get on. Let me know. Regards,

My dymo is printing but the blue light won't stop blinking?

I have a LabelWriter 4XL with legit labels and driver on Mac. I had a flashing blue light. I had tried cleaning, cycling power, reseating the interface connection and it seemed none of this helped. Then I removed the labels from the feed and re-fed them and the error cleared.
