Overhead light turns on when walking into garage. sensors turn it on. how can we fix this?

Hi Laura:
Mine does this too. I just thought that it was supposed to do this as it made sense to me. The light automatically turns off after a few minutes, so if the sensor indicates that someone is walking in and out while the door is open, the light stays on.
I'm thinking........... It ain't broke..... don't fix it.

The heather computer indicates:Flow and does not come on

Without knowing what heater manufacturer or model, or whether this is a burner style furnace or heat pump, I would surmise a guess that you have a flow issue, a restriction in your water flow. Most water flow issues are corrected by cleaning the filter.
many people who are not in the know, or don't understand these type of things, always ask what does the filter have to do with my heater?
heaters need to have the proper amount of the water flow through them for them to fire safely and efficiently. When that water flow is reduced or restricted there is a safety sensor that senses improper water-flow, and will not allow that heater to operate. Remove the restriction, and that specific sensor that senses for proper waterflow, will allow the heater to operate.

Pilot light blew out by a fan..I turned the control off..How do I Ignite Please

First locate where to light pilot. You can do this by following thin aluminum colored tubing from control valve to inside heater. In general on top of your gas control valve is a knob. Turn indicator of this knob to pilot and depress knob. This will start gas flow to pilot at end of thin tube. Hold this knob in the depressed position and light pilot. DO NOT release knob for 30 -45 seconds. Then release knob and pilot will remain lit. Then turn knob to on position. If pilot will not stay lit you may need a new thermo coupler, which senses heat from flame to keep pilot gas flow open.
Good luck

Won't spin - message on indicator say "LE" - what is my problem with washer? I have clean the filter at the bottom.

LE indicates that the controller has sensed the motor is not turning the way its supposed to or locked up . Before you call a tech to troubleshoot make sure you didn't over load. Empty Un plug a few minutes to reset and recheck.

Is there supposed to have ice on the lines inside the house on the central air cooling unit?

No there is not supposed to be any ice. The bigger tubing may sweat but not ice over. If it is iced over:
1. check your filter
2. refrigerant may be low
3. the evaporator coil may be stopped up with dirt.

If there is ice on the line, more than likely, the evaporator coil (located above or below your indoor unit) is also iced over causing low air flow through your ductwork. The air coming through the vents may be real cold but there may not be much force. This indicates a stopped up or iced over evaporator coil or a dirty filter. Best thing to do is turn the unit off, let it thaw our for a few hours, change the filter while waiting, and try it again. Hope this helps you. stay cool. mark

My zodiac pool filter is showing up with the light no flow on

Usually means the electronics in the pump has detected there is no flow through the pump. Check all inlets, clear skimmer baskets, and ensure the primer box (witht he removable see through lid near the pump itself) has water in it before starting the pump. If there is no output back into the pool, there is no actual water flow, and hence the filter will show the "no flow" light. If there is good flow through the system and the light is staying on, then probably just a problem with the light or flow sensing circuit.

The HL indicator light comes on and I can not get it to reset. I shut spa off and the HL light was on again when I checked an hour later. I live in Wisconsin and don't want my tub to freeze. Tub was used...

It sounds like a flow issue. When the HL comes on, its sensing a higher temp than it is supposed to. This is usually caused by bad flow in the circulation pump.

The most likely cause of the bad flow in residential spas, is a bad filter element. Even if a filter looks clean, they do get clogged with particles we cant see. To test this, make sure the spa is free of debris, and remove the filter element. Run spa for a while and see if the code comes back. If it doesnt, get a new filter.

Otherwise the pump could either be failing, or clogged. Check this next.

Finally if these dont work, check the temp sensor (thermistor) .

Dishwasher not moving past sensing cycle

humming noise sounds like a solenoid is not snapping in, this is not something that the average or even above average homeowner can fix. Solenoids go bad, they are a moving part that are activated by electricity, can be dangerous to mess with as water and electricity don't mix. Get a repairman or get a new one.

Radiator question

The way it works is that the water in the radiator will sit there and not circulate when the thermostat is not open until operating temp. is reached. Once it is reached you should see the water in the radiator circulate at this time.
