SOURCE: Camera says Memory CARD FULL--but it's empty

Olympus cameras are a bit picky! If you have not already tried then format the card on the camera. This is more reliable than formatting the card on a PC.

Downloading the pictures from your camera does not erase them from the card. It only copies them to your PC

Hope this helps

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Menu button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to memory/format- right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear all the images from the card and then it can be used again.

SOURCE: camera does not take pictures

The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $98 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

I'd suggest that you take out the memory card from camera, and then connect the memory card to computer with a card reader, and then download this photo recovery program

I want to transfer pics on my PC but there is no software installed in my personal computer

You don't need any software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com );

Write protect

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Program not responding olymupus vg-120

Since you neglected to specify what program you're trying to run I can't give you any specific instructions. However, I assume it's a program to download photos from your camera through a USB connection. In this case your best bet is not to connect the camera to the computer at all.

How to undelete picture

Assuming the picture is on a memory card and you haven't done anything else to the card since deleting the picture, you might have a chance of recovering it. Take the card out of the camera, put it into a card reader connected to a computer, and use a file recovery/undelete program.
Do a Google search for "undelete software" and select a program for your computer and operating system.

How do i transfer photos that i have put onto computer, back onto camera which has got a new memory stick, so theres no photos on

Using a computer to put pictures back onto a memory card that will be used in a camera is not a recommended procedure. In most cases, it will corrupt the camera. In some cases it works. Do you really want to take the chance?
